well dont need to explain donphans role, but lanturns role is to counter blastgatr and any fire decks with underdive pokepower. it seems out of whack by the list but it doesnt draw half bad. does pretty well against my bros reshirman/typlosion deck. so give opinions on what you think i should switch out thanx. =)

Okay, you seem to have a nice start, but wouldn't you like to make it better?

That's not how I usually start off a post to a new Pokebeacher, but I should introduce myself. I'm Yoshidude10, and I love to help out new Pokebeach people. I read in your post that you've top-cutted before, and that's great! Now I don't have to talk to you like a child. :p

Anyway, let's start with your Pokemon. You should be running 4 Donphan and 4 Phanpy(also known as a 4-4 line), so you'll want to take something out for it. The Pidgey seems unnecessary(especially for a coin flip), so take the 2 Pidgey out for 1 more Donphan and one more Pidgey.

In my honest opinion though, straight Donphan will just not work in this format. It is too slow without BTS and cannot hold itself on its own even with Lanturn. So I present two options to you, and will go out of my way to present these ideas to you:

1) Stage 1 Deck w/ Donphan Prime, Cincinno BW, Yanmega Prime, and Zoroark BW
2) Donchamp (Donphan Prime and Machamp Prime)

I'll split this into two separate sections for you. You may think I'm insane, but I'm just trying to help.

Stage 1 Deck w/ Donphan Prime, Cincinno BW, Yanmega Prime, and Zoroark BW

1) So my first option is the complete Stage 1 deck that should set itself up by T2 with the right support. I'm going to provide you some card scans just so you can know what I'm talking about.

Donphan(just making sure you know your own cards :p)

Cincinno BW

Yanmega Prime

Zoroark BW

Whether you're new to the game or not, this deck will be helpful to you and fun to play. The variety of Stage 1's in this deck will give you options for almost every matchup, including Emboar, Magnezone, Donphan, Reshiram, Zekrom, Blastoise, Machamp, and Gengar. There are so many ways to play this, which is why it is so fun. The strategy is to attack with one of the four Stage 1 attackers, and with DCE it makes you even faster. You can snipe with Yanmega's Linear Attack, Do The Wave with Cincinno, Foul Play with Zoroark, and Earthquake with Donphan. Dual Ball is recommended, as are techs like Bouffalant and disruption like Judge to help Yanmega. This deck should see some popularity as being a possible Tier 1 deck. Here's a sample decklist just incase you decide to take this option, so you have a skeleton to start of of:

Stage 1 Madness

3-3 Yanmega Prime
3-3 Donphan Prime
2-2 Cincinno BW
2-2 Zoroark BW
1 Bouffalant BW
2 Cleffa CoL
Total Pokemon: 23

3 Dual Ball
3 Judge
3 Copycat
3 Pokemon Communication
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
2 Pluspower
3 Seeker
3 PONT/Professor Juniper
1 Flower Shop Lady
Total T/S/S: 23

4 DCE
3 Fighting Energy
3 Grass Energy
2 Special Darkness Energy
2 Rescue Energy
Total Energy: 14

So there's a skeleton for you. Hope this helps if you need it. :) And with that, you can stop reading if this grabs your attention.

Donchamp

2) Now our second option is the ever-popular Donchamp, which can hit over 100 T3 if played correctly. The barebone strategy is to use Donphan Prime's Earthquake to hit for 60 T2 and spread 10 to the Bench. This would normally be bad, but not when you pair it with Machamp.

Machamp Prime

Then you can use Machamp Prime's Champ Buster to do up to 150 damage, as well as a great switching engine with Fighting Tag that can't be locked by Vileplume. Pretty neat, huh? there I go, talking to you like a kid again This will also be seen as a Tier 1 deck, and will see lots of play for Nats. Here's a sample decklist as well.

Donchamp
4-4 Donphan Prime
3-2-3 Machamp Prime
2-2 Cincinno BW
2 Cleffa CoL
1 Bouffalant BW
Total Pokemon: 23

3 Dual Ball
3 Pokemon Communication
2 Professor Elm's Training Method
3 Rare Candy
3 PONT/Professor Juniper
1 Flower Shop Lady
3 Seeker
2 Pluspower
2 Victory Medal
1 Junk Arm
Total T/S/S: 23

8 Fighting Energy
4 DCE
2 Rescue Energy
Total Energy: 14

That's the other skeleton I promised.

On a final note, sorry this post was so long. I just wanted to make sure you actually knew the TCG. I'm also sorry if you feel offended that I didn't make many changes to your original deck, but I explained why straight Donphan just doesn't work(even with Lanturn). Please take these options into consideration, especially because I spent half an hour doing this for you. Please PM me if you have any concerns, and you're welcome! :)

^He doesn't have to change decks.

I would take out 2 pidgey for 2 communication, because they provide a quicker search, and don't waste an attack.

^I understand, I suggested two different ideas if he felt like changing, and explained why straight Donphan won't work.

thanx for greet yoshidude and dont trip bout the long post. pretty interesting ideas. yea i know straight up donphan is too slow, i mean i been reading bout other decks with donphan as a tech. im willing to try something new. @glaceon, yes the whole idea on this deck is to is to counter most of the metagame decks like magnezone with emboar or reshiram with emboar. yea the pidgeys im defiently switching lol.
