Hello.. I'm constructin my new deck.. but I don't have 4 pokemon catcher and reshiram... that´s my idea:

Pokemon: 16
4-4 Donpahn (prime)
2 Kyurem
2 Zekrom
2 Reshiram
2 Cleffa

Trainer / Supporter / Item: 30
4 PONT
3 cheren
1 Pokegear 3.0
3 switch
2 Pokemon Communication
2 Dual Ball
2 Rocky Helmet
3 Eviolite
2 Pokemon Circulator
3 Plus Power
2 Pokemon Catcher
3 Junk Arm

Energy: 14
Fighting 6

Double Colorless 4{C}{C}
4 Rainbow Energy

Basically it works like "Donphan with dragons' but not Reshiram and I only have 2 catcher and 2 junk arm .. What changes do you suggest?

thank you

Hi there. Donphan and Dragons has been my favorite deck since Battle Roads this year. I was able to top cut with it at Regionals this years, so I'm pretty familiar with the deck.

First and foremost, your energy count is off. you state 14 in your list but you've only listed 10. I would throw in 4 rainbow energies. The rainbows come in really handy for powering up your dragon's alternate attacks.

Second, lets look at your pokemon lines. Tornadus was run in this deck as a counter to the mirror match with Donphan. In my opinion, he is no longer necessary now that Kyurem has been released. Kyurem hits for weakness and can OHKO Donphan with outrage after taking a single Earthquake. Although you mentioned you don't have any, I would really recommend trying to get your hands on a pair of Reshirams. It really helps against Cobalion and it is absolutely necessary against Durant. I find that a good combination of dragons is 2-2-2. The last thing is I like running a 4-4 Donphan line. This is totally personal preference though, but since it seems like the entire world has gone eel-zone crazy, it might not be a bad idea.

Finally, we come to your TSS lines. Once again, you already mentioned it, but buffing up the catcher and junk arm lines would be a good idea. 4 junk arm and 3 catchers is what I run. I'm also noticing that you're not running any collectors. I would recommend at least 3 collectors. you need to be able to consistently load your bench with the correct dragons depending on your matchup, and collector is really the best way to do that. Also, I'm noticing you have a bunch of single copy cards, and I can't help but feel like you just threw them in to fill up space. I'm not sure if it's because those are the only cards you have available, but I'd drop the circulators, dual balls, judge, copycat, and fisherman, and then add another cheren or a juniper for draw support. This should help give you a bit more consistency.

So to recap:

Pokemon:
-2 Tornadus
-1 Kyurem
-1 Zekrom
+2 Reshiram
+1-1 Donphan

TSS:
+2 Junk Arm
+1 Catcher
+3 Collector
+1 Cheren or Juniper
-2 Circulator
-2 Dual Ball
-1 Fisherman
-1 Judge
-1 Copycat

Energy:
+4 Rainbow Energy

Hope this helps, and good luck with the deck! =)

I put the dual ball to draw basic pokemon. I think that I can trade 2 junk arm, but catcher it's difficult to find, hence I have circulator.. isn't the same effect but help. I'm changing the deck as I can
