BW/BW2 Double battles.. actually being double battles?

I'm not sure if there was a post about this already, but I'm really crossing my fingers to let you do double battles with an actual partner, instead of just using 2 of your own pokemon.. That would be so fun and I bet more people would do double battles. Opinions?

Those are called tag battles, and they've existed since gen 3.

Exactly. They aren't anything new. Remember in D/P when you could pair up with Cheryl, Riley, Buck, etc.? Those were tag battles. Personally, I didn't like them. There was no strategy, because you never knew what your partner would do.

I'm pretty sure you can. They're called mix battles, and you can still do them like a regular tag battle.

You currently can't do tag battles on wifi. I don't think you will, either, because tag battles require communication with your partner.

You can play local tag battles, though.

Fail.. Tbh though, if you enter a tag battle in the first place with someone you know.. wouldn't that mean you have a way of communicating? Oh well.
