Ruling Double poison?

If I were to use Muk's Sludge Drag which poisons a Pokemon and then after that use Crobat Prime's Severe Poison would the defending Pokemon take 10 or 40 damage in between turns? Basically, if the defending Pokemon was already poisoned by Muk could it be "re-poisoned" by Crobat for more damage? Or not because it already has that status?

a pokemon cannot be double poisoned, but it can be re-poisoned
The latest poison overides the previous poison.

Thus if crobat was the last to poison, that poison of 40 overides the poison of 10
