Would anybody be interested in a Dp-On tournament at Nationals?

Before you ask, here are some answers:

We will use the same format as Japan to insure a fair and balanced metagame. This is how it works:
You are allowed to use 4 points or less of cards in your deck. Here is a chart that shows how many points a card is worth:

Will this event cost anything to participate?!
Why of course, how would we be able to get prizes? It will probably be 5 dollars, so that way there will be prizes for top 4.

What day is this event?!
That really hasn't been decided yet. It will either be Friday or Saturday after regular rounds. Comment if you have an opinion.

What format will it be played in?
We are only taking 32 players, so I was thinking the easiest way to do it would be to do single game round robin with 8 groups and then then the top 8 with be best 2/3 single elimination. Also, no time limit, cause that slows things down when you do round robin.

How long will it last?!
You have played Pokemon before, you know how long a game takes.


SO.... Who's up for it?!
 
I'm pretty sure you would have to clear it with TPCi if you are going to host a tournament players need to pay to enter. I'm pretty sure that we aren't allowed to sell cards except to vendors last year, but maybe I'm wrong.
 
Where would you hold the event? Have you rented a room or something?

I'd play, but we'd be there all night without a time limit. It's more important for me to be rested for the next day, in case I'm still playing. Semi-unlimited format with Vileplume in it + no time limit. o_O
 
Well it wouldn't be an official tournament. You can't even do round robin for an official tournament. I'm sure nobody would complain if we used all the money to buy products.

There is a lot of extra room in the open gaming room.

Yeah, I guess we would do a time limit.
