Dragon Type Useless Now?

Dragons used to defeat Dragons, but now with the inception of Fairy Types, Dragons only have a Weakness and NO Strength (eventually the Dragon-Weake Dragons will be rotated out, so that's not really an argument..)

What do you guys think about that? It is literally the only Type in the TCG that isn't strong against anything, and weak against a common Archetype (Fairies)... :S

That new Dragonite-EX looks amazing, but sadly it's useless with nothing being weak to Dragons.. :(

A card doesn't have to be strong against something to be good. Cards that synergize easily with each other will become popular. Normal type has no strength against anything but people still use it. If Dragonite EX will become popular if someone can think of a good partner for him. Either Flygon Rising Fists or Virizion EX I think. Dragon decks were never at surplus before the change besides Gachomp/Altaria or Rayboar.

I do agree dragons are significantly weaker now. Now that nothing is really weak to Dragon and Dragons being weak to fairies, I wouldnt say they're useless but have been nerf'd significantly.

Also with no real true stand out Dragon attackers in the couple XY sets (except for Druddigon really, but hes only good for 1 swing), this statement stands true unless Dragonite EX or another Dragon really can stand above the crowd.

Of course IMO dragons weren't all that effective as a type on their very own simply because they don't have their own energies, they instead require at least two different forms of energy to attack. In many ways they are more like colorless Pokemon in which they are splashable for other decks, and even less so than colorless because of those specific energy requirements.

I do think all dragons being weak to fairy seems to be unfair, but then again some types have faced that since the beginning of the game, fire coming to mind. If I remember right all real (read non Delta Species) fire types (if they have a weakness of course, Fossil Moltres had none) were water.
