I always felt that druddigons ability, rough skin, could be used as a viable way to place damage. Today I got one in a booster pack along with a rocky helmet and got thinking. Here's what I came up with up:

Pokemon:

3-3Donphan Prime
3 Druddigon (rough skin)
3-2-2 Ampharos Prime
3 Zekrom
1 Cleffa
= 19

Supporters:

4 Juniper
3 PONT
2 Sky arrow bridge
= 9

Trainers:

4 Dual ball
4 Rocky helmet
3 Pokémon COMM.
3 Evolite
3 Catcher
3 Rare candy
= 22

Energy:

4 DCE
6 Fighting
= 10

So the strategy is to start either Donphan or, if I need a new hand, cleffa and begin to set up. If Donphan is up the plan is to snipe my opponents bench and damage my zekrom to power up outrage. My Evolite will protect Druddigon from damage. Then with a benched Ampharos, I bring up Druddigon with a rocky helmet attached. Not only does the opponent receive damage from Ampharos' static when they attach energy, also when they attack Druddigon they receive 40 damage plus his 60 damage attack. It's like poison only with more damage! I was thinking of maybe adding crushing hammer or lost remover to force them to continue adding energy.

I would do:
- 1-1 Donphan (3 should be enough)
- 1 Cleffa (I wouldn't EVER run more than one, but that's just me)
- 1 Zekrom (2 should be enough)
- 2 Eviolite (It's only used on Druggigon)
- 1 Pokémon Communication (you shouldn't need 3)
- 7 total

+ 4 PONT (you have no draw supporters)
+ 3 Juniper (^^)
+ 7 total

This deck probably won't work. You have to set-up a stage 2, a stage 1 and a basic for this to work, besides, with the amount of energy acceleration from the discard Ampharos won't be useful. Also, you run Cleffa, a 30 HP pokémon, which is just perfect for Darkrai.
Just bringing up some of the problems of this deck.

Yeah I admit this deck was kinda made upon the spot. Maybe we could still come up with a deck around Druddigon? I just like the fact that with rocky helmet and his power he does 100 a turn as a basic. Could be a fun rouge deck! Thanks

... You bring up a lot of invalid points in this ...

I've seen decks like this get play, and they do well. IIRC even Dynamotor, and Dark Patch activates Ampharos's ability. I'd suggest:

-1 Cleffa (You don't need Cleffa with Juniper / PONT)
-4 Dual Ball (It's flippy)
-1 Mareep (It's that or you add another Ampharos)
=6

+2 Random Recevier (For those bad starts)
+3 Ultra Ball (Better search)
+1 Rare Candy (For consistency)

Good luck with the deck :)

See! Thts exactly what I thought! A lot of meta game decks start out like this. Do u think I should add collectors? I also thought rotating out Donphan for groudon ex. Gimme your thoughts and I'll post an updated list.

Ampharos Prime Poké-Body (Conductivity) states:
"Whenever your opponent attaches an Energy Card from his or her hand to 1 of his or her Pokémon, put 1 Damage counter on that Pokémon."

I don't see how it would add 1 Damage counter if the energy is attached from the discard.

I think you'd be better if you dropped the Ampharos Prime if you wanna make this competitive. If it's just for fun, then it's ok. Anyway, good luck.

Dude... Look back when Ampharos/Kingdra deck was the good deck. Unless playing Zekeels, you deck is gonna take a lot of damage, and get easy prizes using Donphan... And I guess I didn't recall correctly no need to get mad or anything -_-

I'm not mad at all :p It's just now you have Darkrai to deal with too, but yeah, it's probably worth a try. I'll test it today in case someone brings it to my nats and I know what to do.

Maybe I should add a twins engine to make it easier to set up amp. When dealing with Ampharos it's like hitting with a pluspower each turn. I'm not sure if I should use energy-removing cards to force them to attach or not. But imagine that I get two Ampharos in play! Damage would be spreaded like wildfire. Working on a modified list. ;)

Pokemon:

3-3 Donphan Prime (should replace with groudon?)

3 Druddigon (rough skin + helmet= 100)

3-1-2 Ampharos Prime (mareeps will be sniped)

3 Zekrom (feel more comfortable with three)
= 18

Supporters:

4 Juniper

3 PONT

3 Twins

2 Sky arrow bridge (help retreat druddigons and zeks)
= 12

Trainers:

4 Rocky helmet

4 Rare candy

3 Pokémon COMM. (helps set up amp)

3 Evolite (protects Druddigon)

3 Ultra ball

3 Catcher (brings up wounded pokes)
= 20

Energy:

4 DCE
6 Fighting
= 10

The only thing I'm concerned about now is Ampharos being catchered up. Also I'm worried about my energy line.  Zoro if you test please use this list. Thanks

Why don't you try using Vileplume?

With Ampharos? If that's the case the deck wouldn't be able to function properly. Running two stage 2s in this format would be an instant lose. In place of Ampharos could work but doesn't really have a point.

The truth... *Martini taps toes and stares*

You could just get a T2 Vileplume, and have a 2-2-2 line of Ampharos. Turn it into the truth :p (With Ampharos)

The Truth is kinda dead (but it did won some battle roads, tho, so it still has potential).

I'll definitely test with this list if I have time to do so.

Your justification for using Eviloite doesn't make sense if your Druddigons are going to have Rocky Helmets on them. You're only allowed to attached one tool to a pokemon. I would probably scrap Eviolites all together because there is so little you can attach them to.

Do u think I should add in groudon ex instead of Donphan?
