My DS Lite top screen is dying.(dropped one too many times:()I going to need a new system soon.I was wondering which system would be better?
 
Is there like a big mark on the top screen? That has happened to me as well...

I suggest the DSi. Once you really get into the camera thing it's hard to not keep using it. And with DSiWare, it's actually pretty nice. Unless, of course, you have a Pokemon game and you need to migrate Pokemon. If that's the case, I'd go for the DS.
 
DS lite... alot cheaper, and you can still play the gba games on it.

DSi isnt really for pokemon lovers.

No marks.Just a cracked hinge and a small crack at the top of the screen.So every time I play,I have to tilt the screen just right or the screen will white out or pixelate to black.
 
^Oh, because the thing I have there is like a giant mark on the top screen on my DS. Whenever I turn it on, the top screen wouldn't show because the the giant mark just messes it up. But that's my old DS.
 
I think you should get the DSi. The very same thing happened to my bro LuckyLuigi7 and he got a DSi. With the DSi he was able to do most of what the DS Lite could do except for playing GBA games. The things he could do were, go on the internet, record 10 second songs, take pictures, use the DSi shop channel, and even play mp3. files on the DSi. I recommend it. =D

That happened to me! Then, the ol' thing gave out... I didn't think it was real, but it was. Cost 60$ to fix. I didn't have that much. My mother paid for it. >:^} Get a Lite. Their so much awesomer.
 
You you use the internet and camera on the DSi? If not get a DS Lite.
 
If you don't have an SP or Advance, I'd get the DS Lite. Otherwise, the DSi is really worth it. For the extra money, you get a lot of extra features. Lighter, bigger screen, music, internet, download games, etc. I <3 mine ^^ but I still have my original DS for migrating.
 
Seems like you can still use your lite for transferring Pokémon and whatever else you might want to do, so you might as well get the DSi. Internet's pretty bad, but the DSiWare games are quite fun and a great way to kill time. The camera isn't too terrible either, and I guess you can use it to listen to music if you'd want to.

Of course this depends on the individual.
I preffer DSI for all the other components, I keep a SP close for any GBA game I want.
 
The top screen of my DS lost one half connection (the top screen was hanging..)
I got a DSi, I use it listen to music most of the time but I always seem to break the L and R buttons my playing COD to much, If you had a choice of DS and DSi I'd choose DSi
 
This is completely out of the question and I'm not trying to smear any implications of superiority either. My phat DS is going on its fourth year now and it's still pretty dandy. No notable damage except for minimal scratches. Not to mention, we were flooded once and it was submerged in water for hours without me knowing. Gotta love the drop resistance on this thing. :3 A pal of mine was vexed to see that my phat DS had stronger lighting than his damaged lite. I admittedly like the newer version of the DS however.[/constructivecomparison]
