Dual Type

Do you think dual types e.g. {M}{L}, will ever return in the platinum (and beyond) series? I personally really liked them in the ex series...

No, they won't. With the metagame as it is, multitypes will drown is weakness, and they were usually bulky.

As for myself, I would like to see them come back, but I doubt it will happen. PUSA rarely recycles ideas, except for the ever-classic Team Rocket.

What about those various pokemon which are dual type naturally, like weavile who are both {D} and {W}?

They get printed in either Water or Dark, or whatever their 2 types are. Look at Houndoom, we have:

Houndoom GE (Dark)
Houndoom LA (Fire)
Houndoom G (Fire)
Houndoom E4 (Dark)

And some might have type-changing powers/bodies (like the slightly older dual armor bodies or Weavile SW's dark engage).

I know that, but it's not true to the pokemon. For example, houndoom is neither {R} or {D}, its both!

The Pokemon is both type, but still the card is one, which can change.

The thing about Houndoom is that if it is a {R} type it uses Dark Energy to attack and vice-versa with the {D} type.

I would like to see dual typing come back, it would definitely add to the to the game, and possibly make it so you don't have so many clones of the same decks

Yeah,i personally liked aggron and walrein for their colors,but that would just make that pokemon more strong towards some pokemon and then it would have to have 2 weaknesses and 2 resistances,too much to print on a single card.

In Americaneze? Good luck with the bad stage 2s tht are slow now. I couldsee Charizard? tho, with basic steels and all. SPs and Deltas and Donks are too much at once...

but you see, you cannot shut down a dual type's type. If you or your opponent has dialga g X in play, kecleon is colorless.

i felt Nintendo could have done more with deltas, stretched them out a bit more. I feel like RR and the next set coming are like the Holon Phantoms/Dragon Frontiers of this idea rotation. They ease into the mechanic in the first set, hammer the sets with this mechanic for a couple more sets, then ease their way back out. or, in the case of Legend Maker, take a set that should've been released previously and stick it right in the middle where it shouldn't belong.

Some users stated that it what make pokemon too strong but this isn't the case, as it could be made up by making that pokemons weakness X2 or giving it two weaknesses and other things...
