Durant

Heya.

4 Durant NV
1 Rotom UD
1 Cobalion NV

4 Junk Arm
4 Level Ball
4 Revive
3 Eviolite
4 Pokemon Catcher
2 Pokegear 3.0
4 Crushing Hammer
2 Lost Remover
1 Switch

4 Pokemon Collector
3 Professor Juniper
4 Twins
3 Professor Oak's New Theory
1 Flower Shop Lady

1 Battle City

4 Metal
4 Special Metal
2 Prism

Basic Durant strategy, try to deck out the opponent as fast as possible. I have Cobalion and Prism Energy in here for Rotom to take prizes if I need to, and Battle City to help my acceleration more. I'm looking at my list now and thinking I will probably need Black Belts, any suggestions on where to fit that in?

You should take out a Metal and add in another Prism energy. Prism will do the same thing as a Metal when attached to Durant or Cobalion. The Prism would help more with Rotom in case the other Prism is prized.

In my list, I play 4 Catcher just so I could bring up heavy retreaters to stall for a couple of turns. I don't know what you'd want to take out for those, but IMO 4 Catcher are staple in this deck.

Lastly, I'd take out 2 Battle City for 2 Skyarrow Bridge. Your list is already crazy consistent with all the trainers and supporters. Skyarrow Bridge helps in moments when you start with Cobalion or when your opponent Catchers up a Rotom or Durant and you have no energy.

I really don't think Cobalion is necessary and should be omitted. It's too slow to take any real prizes and while you build it up it can be catchered and KOed, wasting turns of attaching energy. You don't want to start with it either, and Sky Arrow bridge hurts your ability to catcher opponents benched pokemon with a heavy retreat cost (so you can devour while they attempt to retreat).
-1 Cobalion
-1 PJ (my friend plays Durant, and he says PONT is helpful because it makes you deck out slower. He actually decked himself out before he decked me one time. You can probably remove the battle cities for the same reason)
+1 PONT
+1 Super Rod (you can twins for this and use it with level ball on the same turn to get Durants. You can also use this with Twins to get energy)

Keep the strategy straight forward. Straight Durant, straight decking out.

NO.

Skyarrow bridge locks out your own catchers, which you use to stall by forcing them to waste energy on retreat. Playing it effectively gives most, if not all, your opponent's pokemon free retreat, or at least giving them an easier time to retreat after you catcher stall them. Battle City is used to COUNTER skyarrow bridge.

Switch is there for those bad situations, which shouldn't occur that often. Personally, I'd add a baby like mabgy or mime jr if there's cobalion, reduces the odds of starting with cobalion if only a little.

-1 juniper
-1 twins
-1 Battle city

+2 pokegear
+1 catcher

Battle City is a crutch you seldom really need. As for the pokegear, it allows you to turn your junk arm into a supporter, giving you an out on dead hands, instead of relying on topdecks.

Depending on your meta, you could drop a level ball for another lost remover. Special Energy is starting to get big, and the extra removal helps you quite a bit.

Maybe more catcher and 1 more lost remover could help because sometimes you need to use junk arm for something else maybe. Just a suggestion. Pokegear is definitely needed to get a quick start by getting out your supporters and just wondering but would 1 alpha lithograph work well with rotom for getting out durant quicker if it is prized?

Please don't run more than one Battle City. Honestly, I wouldn't run any at all, but that's just personal preference (agreeing with Mudkip when he said Skyarrow > Battle City, but I don't run either one). 3 N in this deck makes me cringe as well, so I would add a PONT and 2 Pokegear 3.0. I run max Gears in mine, but it's personal preference again.

- 3 N
- 1 or 2 Battle City

+ 1 PONT
+ 2 Pokegear 3.0

If you opt to drop the second Battle City, I would add a PONT, Skyarrow, or Pokegear 3.0. Hope this helped.

Alright, updated the list with the following changes:

-1 Battle City
-1 Juniper
-3 N
-1 Basic Metal

+1 Prism
+1 PONT
+2 Catcher
+2 Pokegear

I know you really wouldn't want other pokemon in the deck using up your energies.
But a card that could definitely buy more time for discarding your opponents deck would be Palkia & Dialga legend.
3 Energy(2 metal 1 colorless) and you can add 2 more prizes to your opponent.
Retreat & seeker them or super scoop up and go back to discarding.

Just an idea, not sure how much it would deviate this deck. Anyhow, goodluck.

PDL is definitely not needed. You want to start discarding their deck by T1. I think that PDL is only playable with Shaymin EX or some others in the format, but not Durant. It takes too long to set up.

I agree with this except for replacing Juniper for PONT, whoever gets set up first in the mirror match wins anyway and Juniper can make you one step closer to setting up first. Cutting Cobalion may not be all that bad of an idea, starting with him sucks and retreating also sucks. Durant is basically a deck you run your own version of, test what you think is good you won't get much advice here.

You need Alph Litograph (prize one) and Black belt. Alph helps a ton, and Blackbelt helps Ko pexky pokemon that keep OKHOing your durants.

id take out prism for revive. drop flowershop lady for a black belt. imo its not really needed as much as black belt would be. i would also drop cobalion for mewtwo EX. because gothitelle decks would really mess this up. mewtwo can easily KO a gothitelle (duh lol) this is your deck and you might not like my sugestions, but playing this deck aginst trainer lock......now thats scary! hope i helped :)

I wouldn't even use mew two EX and gothitelle isn't really even played any more. With durant, it would be hard for them to set up gothitelle. I think just 4 durant and 1 rotom is enough IMO.

actually juniper kills you in a mirror, if you play it, that's 7 less cards in your deck for them to discard

I would pull out a Juniper for a fourth Prof Oak.
You also need an Alph Lithograph Four to get those prized Durants!
I think Cobalion is going to slow you down.
Aside from that it looks like a great build to me!
:)

You don't _need_ to play Alph Lithograph in here. Sure, it helps a couple times but you can normally fish what you need blind.

The only glaring problem I see with the deck is you only have 2 Pokegear. Pokegear is amazing in getting the T1 Collector, so I would probably take out 2 Level Ball for them. Getting Collector for all your Durants > 1/2 with Level Ball. Plus Gear is really good late in the game with dead hands.

dmaster out.
