Warrenton, VA 9/17/11 First tournament as a Master.
I'm playing ZPST
So, I wake up around 7:30, take a shower, get dressed, and head out around 8 to pick up my friend Jordan. We then head to McDonald's to get some breakfast before we head to my league leader's house. I order a Big Breakfast meal.(Yum yum ;D) After we eat, we head to meet my league leader, who is giving us a ride to Warrenton. We get to his house about 30 minutes early, so my mom insists that we go over to this yard sale she saw in the area.(BORING....) So finally we get to his house, and we head out to pick up three guys from our league. Once we picked them up, it was off to Warrenton! We get about half way to the store, and suddenly... STAND STILL TRAFFIC.... FOR 30 MINUTES!!! Registration ended at 11:30, and it was about 10:30. We still had about 30 or so minutes to go... Finally, at about 11 we got out of the traffic.(Btw, all of that traffic was for some FESTIVAL!!) I had a feeling we were going to be late so I called my mom back at home and asked her to get the phone number to the store for me and instead she called the store. She asked if we could get a 15 minute time extension on registration. They said that would not be possible and we might have to take a ROUND 1 LOSS. Luckily, we get there and a lot of people were late, just like us. We were told that we were going to take a Tie-Breaker penalty for being late. However, the Tournament Organizer Program was acting up and would not register us as late, so we got no penalties!
Anyway, here is the actual tournament report:
Round 1: Matthew B. w/ a random deck
He goes first and flips over a Snivy, Chansey and Sunkern. Long story short, I take 6 prizes in 6 turns.

Lunch Break!
So we head over to Chic-Fil-A and I order an 8-Count Chicken Nugget meal. After me, Mr. Mickey, and Michael are all done eatting, we have to wait for Jordan to finish his milkshake(cmon man...)
We walk back to the store and the pairings are up already for the next round.
Round 2: Jordan w/ Reshiphlosion
I start fairly decent, he opens with Oshawatt(Oshawhat???) and a Cyndaquil I believe. In the end, I set up fairly quickly and Catcher all of his Cyndaquils and kill them.

Round 3: Alex w/ Beartic/Vileplume/Ruiniclus
I start pretty well and he starts likewise. I remember that I got a 2 or 3 prize lead on him, but once he got Twins in his hand turn after turn, it got ugly. He had out 2 Beartics, a Dodrio, a Zekrom, a duosion, and finally on the same turn Candied into Vileplume. I was pretty sure I had a chance to win still, but on his next turn, Reuiniclus comes down. I proceed to scoop.

Round 4: Jordan P. w/ Reshiphlosion
WOW. My friend that we brought along with us. On top of this, HE'S PLAYING MY DECK!!! Anyway, he's playing my Reshiphlosion list and he starts with Reshiram, I open Zekrom. He goes first and Collector's for 2 Cyndaquils and a Volpix. I remember I was holding 3 Lightning Energies and 2 Dual Balls. So I used the first Dual Ball, 2 tails. Played the second one, 2 tails.... WOW! So anyway, in the end, he got one of the quickest Reshiphlosion set ups I've ever seen, and I fall behind quickly.

Round 5: Steve w/ a metal deck of some sort.
He opens Mawile and Scyther. I open with Zekrom. I attach a DCE and do Outrage for 20. He uses "Selfish Draw" and passes. I attach a Lightning this time and pass. He uses selfish draw again after attaching a Special Metal to his Scyther. I attach one more Lightning and do the third Outrage for KO. He's unable to evolve or do anything of the sort, so he passes and I use Bolt Strike for GG.

Round 6: Michael Pramawat w/ google.dek
He opens with Oddish active and Pichu benched, I open Tornadus active. I go first, play collector, get Pachi, Shaymin, Zekrom. Play Pachi with 1 Lightning, Shaymin to move it to Tornadus and attach a DCE to Tornadus. I Hurricane his Oddish for KO. He brings Pichu active and simply uses Playground. He fills his bench with 2 Solosis, 2 Cleffa, and 1 Reshiram if I remember correctly. I proceed to attach a lightning to Tornadus and Catcher one of his Solosis and KO it. He brings out Cleffa and Eeeks. He flips heads so he wakes up. I make a similar move, Catcher Solosis, attach energy, KO. He brings out Cleffa, Eeeks, Heads. Once again, similar move, KO'ing Cleffa. He brings out his third Cleffa, Eeeks, and gets Tails. At this point he did have Vileplume out, disallowing me to Catcher anything active. I pass and he wakes up, plays Seeker, I pick up my Cleffa, he picks up his benched Gloom. He then benches a Solosis. He Eeeks again and flips heads. I use Tornadus to kill the Cleffa. Finally, he play benches a Zekrom and attaches a DCE. I retreat to Zekrom, and use Outrage for 20. He is forced to retreat. At this point he had out a Duosion and he played Sage's, whiffing on the Reuniclus. He Eeeks, and flips tails. I pass, he plays another Sage's, whiffs again. He Eeeks and flips another tails. I pass again and he plays Professor Oak's(if I recall correctly.) and once again, WHIFFS on the Reuniclus. He Eeeks once more and this time, flips heads. I Bolt Strike for the last prize and the game. GG,

So at this point, we are done with Swiss rounds. I was hoping that some how a 4-2 might make the cut, but when standings came out, Mr. Tuskey announces: "I will call out the names of the 5-1's that didn't make cut"... so I then knew I was done. I make 12th place in my first tournament as a Master. Not bad I suppose.

Slops: Not making cut, Festival making us late, losing to my own deck in round 4(LOL!)
