Expanded Easy & Powerful deck to make/win tournaments

Before i begin my post i just want to say, im no expert in pokemon, i actually started playing tcg online 1 month ago and learned how to play pretty fast, i've spend alot of time studying different strategies and making really unorthodox decks to try to surprise my opponents and what that has lead me to this deck which has a very high winning percentage. i've had so much success with this deck and have won so many tournaments using this deck ( 5 & counting) and i've come in second 1 time. Now, i dont want to make this deck sound like you will win 99% of the time you use it but under the right circumstances if your opponent doesnt have the right cards in his deck to counter you, its pretty much smooth sailing from the get go. i will go into full detail and will post one game log using this deck that was a very fun game that actually went to sudden death, to be honest, i didnt know that existed , a pic of the match results, and of course a pic showing all the cards of this deck in full view.

all also want yalls feedback on how you think i can make this deck stronger and the overall strategy
Feel free to criticize the list and improve where you see fit. again im just shairing what has worked for me (a rookie/noobie/beginner), i want to try to help someone like myself win matches and tournaments.

without further do, lets begin.

the deck
deck.PNG
*takeout fighting fury and replace it with muscle band
* 4 blacksmiths would be awesome and im currently working in getting two more
* a parallel city stadium would be good to end the game quicker so you trap/ limit your opponents pokemon. what do you think

i know what your thinking. WHAT? only one pokemon?? this is insane. but please wait give me a chance to explain this non sense

you noticed that all these cards are really obtainable and not very rare at all. most beginners who have been playing for 1-2 months should have these cards or at least 89% of this these cards.

Basic Strategy (theory) : "if your opponent can't hit you, he can't kill you"

-Don't allow your opponents pokemons to attack or have enough energy to potentially attack. -kill their non-basic pokemons those being stage 1, 2 , breaks, mega evoultion.
-Dont allow your opponent to evolve their evovable pokemons ( for this reason we have 4 lysandres and 4 pokemon catchers.
-try to end the game as quick as possible with pyroars break 180 attack by killing opponents EX pokemons in one shot

basic Gameplan without going into to much detail

turn one : put litleo in play & play battle reporter if you can get it . if you have scorched earth use it, discard an energy and draw 2 cards

by now you should have a full hand

turn two: evolve litleo into pyroar , attach an energy to pyroar and use scorched earth draw 2 cards and now use blacksmith . now use pokemon catchers and start following the strategy.
kill non basic pokemons first and then basic pokemons last

by now you should have full control of the match and look to finish him as quick as possible.

turn 3: evolve pyroar to it break card and use pyroars 90 damage counter (110 if you have muscle band) only if you have to KO an important opponents non basic pokemon OR you can win the match by killing his only pokemon left

BASCIALLY everyone here knows more than i do and probably already tried this strategy but not this specific deck. the REASON i only have one pokemon is because i want to play battle reporter in turn 1 and also because i dont want my opponent to use cards like lysandre on me.

If anyone has questions on why i have this card in the deck or any other questions, leave a comment and i will get back to you

If you go second and your opponent has a decent deck and attacks on their second turn, you lose automatically. You could forego this by playing wally. If they play Hex you can lose, and if they play evos.
I agree with you, it's smooth sailing if your opponent plays no counters.

List of ways that this deck autolosses:

  • Hex Maniac / Garbodor
  • Greninja decks
  • Mega Evolutions
  • Pyroar gets prized
  • No Wally = No first turn Pyroar
  • Hand donk due to having almost no draw power
This is just off of the top of my head, and not everyone feels like simply getting every mulligan draw available.

Ugggh, hex maniac, GG? Just saying. This deck cannot work against serious competition, most online tournies are not a good basis for finding good real life decks. A lot of the time they are just kids and casuals filling them up, especially seeing as how easy it is to get tourny tickets now. I reckon I could probably put a pauper (commons and uncommons only) deck together online and still get more than a 50% win rate over 10 games.

If you could put your game log in a spoiler, that'd be great. :)

You say you only need one Pokemon, but have you come across the scenario where one of your Pokemon were prized? It's very hard to win when that happens. Also, like what others have said a lot of competitive decks can easily get around this. Here are my suggestions for it:

+3 Litleo - You need Basics. They give you chances to stall for time to get your cards and with only one line of Pyroar, you can be taken down very easily.
+1 Pyroar FLF - Basic Immunity is very good due to most decks revolving around Basics.
+2 Pyroar PHF - Flare Command is a cool ability that allows you to snipe Pokemon without Lysandre.
+2 Pyroar BREAK - If this is your main strategy, you'll need these.
+1 Blacksmith - With testing from other decks, I've found that three really works well for me
+3 Protection Cube- these will protect Pyroar from damaging itself.
+4 Sycamore - Excellent draw power.
+1 N - Good for disruption.
+2 Entei AOR - They're fairly good Fire attackers.
=2 Shaymin EX - Good draw support that doesn't waste your Supporter.
+2 Float Stone - Free Retreat is always nice.
+1 Computer Search - An Ultra Ball for not just Pokemon.
+4 VS Seeker - Gets back Supporters.
+2 Battle Compressor - Discards Supporters and Fire Energy
+3 Crushing Hammer - Helps stall.
+2 Wally - Evolves your Pokemon and can get intimidating mane up straight away.

-4 Enhanced Hammer - Imo Crushing Hammer is better because it can discard basic Energy as well.
-3 Pokemon Catcher - They're good, but they don't really make your deck more consistent.
-2 Battle Reporter - They're pretty situational.
-4 Random Receiver - with Compressor/VS Seeker you don't really need these.
-3 Lysandre - Four's excessive.
-3 Professors Letter - You'll most likely want your Energy in your discard.
-1 Burning Energy - You want as few Special Energy in your Deck as possible.
-5 Fire energy ( there's 15 right?) - 10 is a good number and 15 is waaaay too much.
-4 Ether - It's decent, but Blacksmith's a better way to accelerate Energy.
-1 FFB - Your Pokemon are BREAKs and Stage 1s so this is mostly useless.
-1 Bent Spoon - There's not much that this really defends against.
-4 Evosoda - Wally's better.

Hope this helps!

I agree with the smooth-sailing without counters, but I think most people will play a counter to this in some way.

You could still play a 4-4-2 line and just not bench anything if you're really that concerned about Lysandre? Then you might be able to set up multiple Pyroar so then Lysandre also basically has no effect. Ultimately Pyroar never really was a very good deck imo, and with evolutions making a bit of a comeback (at least they have in my meta with the likes of Greninja and megas) it's not really relevant any more anyway. That and most people are running Hex as a 1-of, which means once they get a Hex off they've won pretty much (with most decks running 4 VS Seeker they'll likely be able to do it two turns in a row, probably KO'ing you).

I guess this runs the risk of your one and only Litleo being prized, but if you still want to just play 1 basic Litleo, consider Talonflame. This should provide consistency and more time to get powered up :p

A good Idea for making this idea more consistent is by upping the number of pyroars, It's impossible to prize your single litleo, but extra pyroars just help the consistency of making it evolves as soon as possible.
