EelZone (Post - Next Destinies)

Card Slinger J

Aspiring Trainer

Pokemon (18)

3-2-3 Magnezone Prime
3-3 Eelektrik NV
2 Zekrom BW
2 Mewtwo EX

Trainers/Supporters (28)

4 Pokemon Collector
4 Rare Candy
4 Junk Arm
3 Pokemon Communication
3 N
3 Sage's Training
3 Switch
2 Pokemon Catcher
2 Lost Remover

Energies (14)

11 {L}
3 Double Colorless

Deck Total: 60

Have Eelektrik use Dynamotor to energy accel Magnezone and your other Pokemon, while also being able to draw up to 6 cards every turn with Magnezone's Magnetic Draw and use Lost Burn to dish enough damage to take out Pokemon EX come Next Destinies.

Since Durant is getting popular in my meta I figured the best way to beat it is go Aggro Zekrom and Bolt Strike non-stop by not setting up any Magnezone's. It's better than teching in Victini with V-Create or slapping in a Reshiram BW and get nothing out of Outrage since Devour doesn't do direct damage to the Active.

Any advice, comments, and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

I would maybe cut down to one Cryogonal, as it's really not going to be that useful except against Donphan. Also, since you're running four Rare Candy, you only need one Magneton. I would add in a Thundurus or two for early game energy discard. If two is too many Thundurus, I would also put in another Sage's to discard more energy. I might also consider Judge, as it disrupts the opponent and you can Magnetic Draw up to six cards.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

I'd cut some energies for maxed out junk arm and sage's. I think that only 1 cilan should be needed too since it wont be needed that much. I also think that some more draw power would be good, like judge or PONT, though I'd prefer judge.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

Cut cryogonal for either terrakion or zapdos ND and a shaymin UL

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

I'm tired of getting trolled by Mewtwo EX so don't make me feel as bad as I already do
not pulling one out of a pack of ND alright? Second, whoever made the pull ratio's for Next Destinies should be fired from their job, thrown out to the curb, and get beat up by Occupy protesters.

Your suggestions didn't really help much, I already knew I needed to run 1 Mewtwo EX and cut the {W} for 1 extra Junk Arm and Sage's Training. But thanks anyway I guess. I'll just keep buying ND packs til I pull the darn thing If I ever get lucky and no one is going to sell it to me anyway.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

Out of 8 of my packs, I only pulled 2 prism and a DCE so I think Im unlucky too.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

Take out Cryogonal. Donphan is not played. Put in Virizion and some Grass/Prism/Rainbow to counter Terrakion. That is the main Fighting card used today.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

In the eel zone decks I've seen, terrakion is not a really big problem because it has 4 retreat cost and can easily be catchered and OHKOd. Virizion might not be a good addition because terrakion is usually played in Sic Corners or CaKE or some other deck as a tech. (whoa, that rhymed). I think that the catchers will usually take care of terrakion.

You didn't buy a box like I have where the only EX's I got were Shaymin, Zekrom, and Kyurem (FA). Sold the FA Kyurem for more packs and I pulled a FA Zekrom EX so yeah, still no Mewtwo EX.

Several of my friends pulled at least one or two Mewtwo EX at the Pre-Releases I went to, and funny enough one of my friends did the troll face while revealing the Mewtwo EX he pulled out of his pack on the 2nd flight of the PR. I was so annoyed... -____-

Virizion isn't a bad counter against Terrakion, unfortunately I got no other choice but to run 1 Mewtwo EX. The problem is that If I open the game with Mewtwo EX as my Starter there's a 50% chance that my Opponent can KO it and get a 2 prize lead on their 1st turn If they open the game with their Mewtwo EX as well.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

Shaymin and zekrom are really good.
Against Six Corners, they would usually start with virizion, which would give you some time to setup with zekrom. I think Six Corners wouldn't be a huge problem because you could always catcher up terrakions while they are loading energy on them an OHKOing them.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

I thought Six Corners was dead, anyway Shaymin EX is too situational cause it's a dead card early game.

RE: EelZone (Post - Next Destinies) 4.0

Bump... Any other suggestions?

I threw in Zapdos ND, hopefully that should help the deck a bit...

Maybe a Zekrom EX may help as a late game attacker and as a starter to this deck. Just a suggestion. It could discard energies pretty well and can serve as a attacker after you lost burn many energies.
