I wake up and had to assemble my deck since I promised my sister she could play my Yanmegas. I had a McDonald's Sausage NcMuffin for breakfast. (What better way to start one's morning than with hot grease? ) I arrived at Fairfax and borrowed 2 Typhlo Primes from Gliscor and a Reshiram from Glaceon. (Thanks, guys.) Since there were so many people, there were no deck checks which was good because my super secret tech might not have been legal. > I was playing Reshiphlosion not Tyram. Sister was playing Yanmega/Zoroak. Brother was playing his deck from last week which is now proudly called the Troll. (If you want to know how it works a little, read Scizorliscious's report.) There were 50 Masters and a Top cut of 4. I know such a shock from last week. I might not remember everything very well. If I battled you, let me know if I messed up with our battle.
Round 1 vs Lostgar/Yanmega/Magnezone
I started out with Horsea. He started out with a Mr. Mime. I was struggling to set up while he was able to set up a Yanmega and a Lostgar. He sniped my Quilava with Yanmega and Lostgar to send it the LZ. He did the same thing to my Vulpix and Horsea. During this time, I killed two Yanmegas, Lostgar and Mr. Mime. However the Yanmegas and Gengar kept coming back due to Rescue Energy. He was able to LZ two other pokemon before I was to take my last two prizes.
0-1
Round 2 vs Stage 1 Rush
I can't remember much about this match but I do know it came down to 1-1 prizes. He was able to Junk Arm for a catcher. He then catchered up my Reshiram with one damage counter on it and Blue Flared for the knockout.
0-2
Round 3 vs Donphan & Dragons
My opponent came into this match telling me he was going to drop if he lost. I was like no way. If he dropped, my awesome record of fighting for last place would be ruined. I decided I had to let him win so my record was not destroyed. He flipped Cleffa to my Reshiram. He was ready to scoop because he thought I had the donk. I had to keep telling him I didn't play any pluspowers in this deck ( I was excepting to face a lot of trainer locking decks.). I knocked out his cleffa in two turns. He knocks out my Reshiram. I knocked out his pokemon with Vulpix. He sent up his Phanpy and passes. I attacked for 20.
He then pulls off this move that was so pro his cards almost caught on fire. I am not sure if I should mention it in case somebody wants to replicate it. I am warning you now don't try this at home, at league or at any event that has to do with Pokemon. If you decide to ignore this warning, you have taken your life of your cards into your own hands. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way. Here is what he did. He attached a rainbow energy to the Phanpy and played Blackbelt for the knockout. He did this all in 10 seconds.
0-3
It must have set some sort of record because a judge came over and asked to look at our decks. I figured they must be checking to see if we were pumping our cards with "legal vitamins". I was a little worried because I had some "rare candies" in my deck. I was pretty sure they were legal. After all, candy is safe for animals, right?
After about 5 mins, we given back our decks. I asked my round 3 opponent if he was willing to trade his Feraligatr Primes to me. I was thinking since Typhlo Prime was not working in my deck, why not try a Water pokemon instead. After all, when water and fire mix, steam appears. I could be like a ninja and attack my opponent from the mist. However, my opponent was like no. I figured he wanted to be a ninja too. Well, pairings went up, I found out I was at the bottom table. YES, my record is still going strong. I just have to lose the next three rounds to earn the very rare and elusive Victory - Challenged Cup.
Round 4 vs Ursaring/ Tangrowth.
I started with Reshiram and Horsea. He started with Tangela x2 and a Teddiursa. He used nutritional support and started to build the Tangela on the bench. I attached a DCE to Reshiram and Outrage for 40. He played IQ and got a DCE and 2 Grass Energy. He attached DCE and nutritional support for a grass energy. I knocked out the active Tangela. He promoted the Tangela on the bench and evolved. He then grinded me for 110. I used outrage for the knock out. He was not able to do anything else. I knocked out his Teddiursa for the win.
1-3 No, my chance of getting the Victory - Challenged Cup was ruined. I figured I might as well try to go 3-3 now.
Round 5 vs Yanmega
I was able to swarm Reshirams, a Typhlo Prime and a Kingdra Prime for the win.
2-3
Round 6 vs Gothitelle/Reuniclus
Again, I was able to swarm Reshirams and a Kingdra Prime. I sniped off his babies and Blue Flared is only Gothitelle for the win.
3-3
YAY!! I was able to complete my mission. I traded with some people to help finish my collections while I waited for my dad to come pick me up. Thanks for reading this.
Prop
My brother's deck for trolling so well.
Gliscor's record >
Glaceon for getting fourth place.
Slops
Gliscor and Shadowwiidragon for not trading me their Feraligatr Primes.
For getting halfway to winning the Victory - Challenged Cup, then my deck decided to work.
