What do you mean by EFFECT in the game?

A pokemon with a Holon WP & water energy, does the pokemon received any damage from Dark Tyranitar's Spinning Tail??

Coz someone told me that the attack is considered effect.

PLS says that's not an effect! >>>>> My deck uses that kind of attack.

Damage is considered to be an effect of an attack. However, Holon WP specifies "effects of attacks, except for damage, done to the Defending Pokémon". Anything that involves damage calculation is unaffected by Holon WP. Special conditions, placing damage counters, "smokescreen" status, removing energy from the Defending Pokémon, etc. are all prevented by Holon WP.

Even something that doesn't directly specify the Defending Pokémon may also be prevented. For example, EX: LM Roselia's Flick Poison reads:

"Switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon with 1 your opponent's Defending Pokémon. Your opponent chooses the Defending Pokémon to switch. The new Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned."

Even though the effect of the attack is focused on the Benched Pokémon, the Defending Pokémon is removed from the Active slot from the attack. Therefore, Flick Poison does nothing against a monster with Holon WP.

For something like δ Crobat's Radar Jam and EX: UF Stantler's Push Away, the attack is a universal effect, and is unaffected by Holon WP.

This may sound somewhat confusing, but I hope you can at least understand what I am trying to say.

I think I'm clear about the effect.

What if like the Dark Crobat's Poke-power (Black Beam) that makes the defending pokemon poison, does it consider an effect?

Holon WP only prevents effects of attacks that don't do damage, not PokéPowers. Therefore Black Beam is unaffected by Holon WP. Holon GL, on the other hand, would prevent Poison (provided a Basic Grass is also attached).

Thanx for the explanation.

There is another question that bothering me:
does the darkness energy added 10 more damage to the defending pokemon by using the attack such as Dark Tyranitar's Spinning Tail?

Some guy told me that tha attack isn't consider as ATTACK DAMAGE.

Darkness Energy adds 10 damage done to the Defending Pokémon only. If you use Spinning tail with 2 Darkness Energy on the Dark Tyranitar, it does 40 damage to the Defending Pokémon, but 20 damage to the bench as usual.

Hope this helps.
