Pokémon (14):
  • 3 Alolan Raichu SM10a (beatdown)
  • 1 Tapu Koko Prism (acceleration)
  • 3 Pikachu SM10a (evolution)
  • 2 Electrode GX (accelerate)
  • 2 Voltorb SM9 (evolution)
  • 3 Dedenne GX (search)
Trainer (30):
  • 3 Sightseer (search)
  • 3 Cynthia (draw)
  • 4 Lillie (draw)
  • 3 Electromagnetic Radar (search)
  • 4 Electric Power (beatdown)
  • 3 Reset Stamp (disable)
  • 4 Ultra Ball (search)
  • 3 Nest Ball (search)
  • 3 Viridian Forest (search)
Energy (16):
  • 12 Lightning Energy
  • 4 Counter Energy

STRATEGY:

Start with Pikachu and bench two Voltorb and another Pikachu on the first turn. Use Dedenne GX and the draw cards to discard at more than twelve energy cards within the first two turns. Next turn evolve Pikachu into Alolan Raichu and evolve both benched Voltorb into Electrode GX. Use Extra Energy Bomb to activate Counter Energy and accelerate the discarded energy cards onto Alolan Raichu. Use Reset Stamp to knock the opponent's hand down to two or one card and attack with Electric Rain to take all six prizes in one attack.

Certainly seems fun. What about Mismagius (if you don't care about the prize cards anyway...) giving you another out both to discarding energy and to getting some more cards?

Ooh, and what if you added one Tapu Koko Spread? Let's say you're able to do 540, and your opponent has 3 Buzzwoles and two Malamar out there. 180 takes out the Malamar, but you need 150 each for the Buzzwoles - and you only have 360. Instead you do 120 to each Buzzwole, then next turn your Koko Spread does 20 to each, finishing the deal (assuming they can't do more than one KO that turn anyway).

Or even something crazier, like a couple of Giratinas. Something to add that 10 extra so you don't have to waste 30 on something that only needs 10.

Hi snoopy369,

Thanks for the review. I considered Mismagius but it does not allow me to discard or accelerate from the discard. It acts similar to Lillie when discarded but draws up to seven cards in hand. Dedenne GX does almost the same but seems to require less deck slots than Mismagius. However, I could see Mismagius in an Alolan Raichu variant with Lightning Magnezone to fuel Alolan Raichu. I will consider a tech Tapu Koko for sure but not sure how to fit it into the deck at the moment. Need to test this deck idea a little more to see what can be removed to include one.
