I have many questions on energies.

I was looking a charizard ex.
The pokebody allows you to attach any energy and makes it fire.
The attack says you have to discard 5 fire energies. Does this work if they arent really fire energies, but changed by the pokebody?
What if i use a rainbow energy? Do i treat that as if it were a fire energy? And what about a double rainbow energy, would i discard that and have it count for 2?

Yes. You always take effects on the field into account when determining if something matches.

What if I use a rainbow energy? Do I treat that as if it were a fire energy?

Yes. Rainbow provides all types of Energy at once.

And what about a double rainbow energy, would I discard that and have it count for 2?

Yes. It provides 2 of every type of Energy, so it would count as 2 Fire.

Though you cant attach double rainbow and many other types of special energies to Charizard Ex

It is pretty much just DRE...

But some just have no effect...
