This has been asked quite a bit - I've already been looking around - but the answers are mixed and inconsistent. Even looking through the Compendium I am unsure of what to do. So here's my question:
Regarding special energies such as Rainbow Energy, Double Rainbow Energy, Scramble Energy, etc., do they count as basics once they are in play? For example...
Would a RE automatically make Flygon's (SS) Rainbow Burn attack deal 90 damage? (110 damage counting basic Darkness and Metal?)
Since there are now basic Darkness and Metal energies, could the special versions of those energies boost Rainbow Burn?
Could a DRE on an active pokemon be poisoned by Muk's (SW) Poke-Body Toxic Sludge?
Be it yea or nay it seems to me the answers to all three of these questions should be the same. Perhaps even here I am wrong. Please, help me! I'm a Confused Little Neophyte!
