Energy- 16
16 Fighting Energy
I'm just now getting back into the game after a while. I've been doing some studying up on the current format and more or less have a feel for what the big hitters are and what to look out for. This idea really jumped out at me and I decided to go with it.
Strategy:
The concept is to lock/disrupt your opponent from turn one and consistently control the game with Kabutops and keep the energy flow with Electrode Prime. Pokemon Rescue lets me reuse any pokepowers I burn with Electrode Prime and Unown R with no setback and without having me use up a supporter slot for the turn, and Super Scoop Up saves me from allowing a double prize with expert belt. All other cards are for burn and set up.
This deck is extremely fast even without an SP crutch.
Counters and Strong Points:
Lux Decks
If you noticed, all of my pokemon are capable of burning themselves save for Kabutops which is all I'm going to hit with/have active anyway. So even with Lux lv.X out, they wouldn't be able to use their pokepower to much extent. Not to mention that Kabutops will hit for 140 damage. =]
Spiritomb Lock
My deck relies heavily on trainers, this I know. But also, I can have Kabutops out fairly quickly considering Dome fossil's pokebody, plus BTS and drawing power from Unown R. I would simply use Pokemon collector to find what I need and from there I rely purely on pokepowers, bodies, and BTS. It still has the potential to be a turn one ko even with the trainer lock.
As for other Tier one decks, I just have to be faster than they are. Any suggestions and input would be much appreciated. Thank you so much for your time. I hope this deck list peeks interest.
