as a collector i hope it does :)

But they could changed dramatically. I read somewhere the holo treatment was used to get more female purchases. I do not know if that will be tried here. If the foil is simplified, would you still want it?

Yep :)

I kind of doubt that they would release the subset exactly like they did in Japan, which is essentially what they did for Dragon Vault. Since the product is marketed specifically toward little girls in Japan. But I could see the cards either put into a regular set or some could be made into promos.

I think releasing the cards in america would be either awesome or a flop in terms of business as it is directed toward a female audience. I think this because Pokemon is based in Japan so it might be more accepted there then here for girls playing (I really don't know though). They probably have some statistic of female tcg players gathered from leagues, if they see a possibility for profit I bet they'll have them here.
myself I want that reshiram and Elesa (will that be tournament legal?).

I doubt we'll get the Shiny Collection here, but we'll probably get all the cards it contains. (Either inserted into boosters, or as promos, or a combination of the two.) Didn't they mention at the time that Dragon Vault wasn't how they were originally intending to release those cards?

Majority of male players will still buy them anyway, so they have nothing to lose.

Id really like to see it released here- been wanting to try a decent "Round" deck with Exploud and Meloetta EX.

Because the Pokemon market for little girls seems to be smaller here than in Japan (instead there's more teenage/young adult females like a lot of people on this forum), I can see them combining SC with Megalo-Cannon, and the Full Art cards will have the "textured" pattern that all our current Full Art cards have. They might also make a Zekrom to complement the Reshiram in the set (maybe with white roses in the background, to represent the War of the Roses)?
