Pokémon XY: Episode 41​

So summer camp continues for Ash and his (new) friends! In this episode the group will face something unexpected during their daily program: Xerneas the Legendary Pokémon of life!

This will be the very first time we get to see Xerneas in the anime. Do you think Xerneas will play a bigger part in the XY series or will it be like Zekrom in BW? Is there a special reason Xerneas is showing itself in the forest? Why do you believe they decided to show Xerneas first, and do you think that Yveltal will make an appearance soon?

I wonder what Xerneas will be like in the anime. Ash already met it in the movie, but that doesn't always mean that he will recognise the Pokémon (like with Lugia). Ash did know who Mewtwo was, however, in the newer movie, who he only met in other movies and specials before. This could mean the movies are becoming part of the story. It could be a nice surprise from Pokémon to show that they're changing things and that movies will become canon. I know many fans wonder about it and it does seem like Pokémon is starting to listen to their fans more and more.

Can't wait to see what's in store for us!
 
I'm thinking they're showing Xerneas in order to avoid a a one time (divided between two episodes) debut and not having nothing else before nor after. Flare hasn't showed up but they were hinted at the end of that Mega-Evolution special and so perhaps Ash will be somewhat connected to Xerneas and the other protagonist (and Lysandre) to Yveltal. Pkémon always follows a colour scheme like how Colress was identified as being with Plasma just by the colours and akward introduction, so Lysandre wears orange -» Yveltal, Ash wears blue -» Xerneas, with the other protagonit being caught in the middle.
Unfortunately and again, after meeting the legendaries, Ash will again be the noob he always is and just shouting while going for the next gym badge with Serena by his lap, Eureka just running happily and Clemont falling behind.
 
Episodes 40 and 41 have not yet been subbed. I haven't quite caught up since I've been back from my vacation, but I know even back in the 30s it was sometimes over a week before episodes were finished. We just have to be patient. :)
