does anybody know how much the empoleon lv.x error cards are worth? i pulled one like two weeks ago and noticed the error from the japanease to english translation . i assumed it wouldnt really change the value if the error was on every single version of the card made, but today i went to target to get a dp booster and pulled another empoleon lv.x and when i started looking at the card i noticed something diffrent. the error was fixed! instead of saying poke-body, it said poke-power. i assume that because they fixed it within a month that they didnt get to many into circulation , making the card ultra rare or something . so shouldnt it be worth more ?

I wouldn't think it would be worth much more, maybe a couple of dollars. in that month, D/P ran out of stock all over America (There was a thread about it on Pokegym) , then there would be alot of Empoleons in circulation.

but it was only a months worth of empoleon lv.x's with the error . i would understand that they wouldnt be worth more just now because probably the number of error cards still out number the corrected ones , but in a couple of months the number of available corrected versions will surely surpass those of the error cards. as they continue to make more and more months worth of empoleon lv.xs , the number of error cards will seem small in comparison to the number of corrected versions ,wouldnt you think ? so at least in the long run , wouldnt you think they would be worth a good amount more? it may have not been such of a dramatic error but it's an ultra rare card two begin with so shouldnt that at least make a diffrence?

I should check my card to see if I have the error card I have the LVX card but I forgot about the error. However if they did fix it and the destroyed the rest of the error cards it will be worth alot. This type of error happened with the Promo Holographic Dark Persian card that came in Nintendo Power about 5 or 6 years ago and the cards are worth around $800.00 because the HP was missing on the card. WPM pointed it out in a news article in 2004 (I think). I posted a similar post about the error in another thread but I think it is dead now.:)

D/P is old now, everyone is camping for D/P2. The hype for D/P1 is over. The error Empoleon is NOT going to be worth any more than $2 than the fixed one.

And the person saying they destroyed all the Empoleons, no they didn't. They just used the fixed version starting from a set print run.

I thought they had destroyed the error cards because it was an error card. I was comparing the error to another card. If they do destroy the error card then they will be worth a whole lot more.:)

Correct me if I am wrong, but they only destroy things that are well...really bad, like the Dragon Frontiers deck boxes that were late and the Error Dark Persians from ages ago.
