ESP's Dragons Prerelease

I showed up at Okemos and was actually quite surprised at the number of people who had also decided to attend. I played a game with Empoleon/Terrakion against a friend's ZekEels (both BW on) and got wrecked. Oh well for that deck.

Anyways, I got my packs and here we go. Just as always, it was junk all the way until like the 5th pack. I thought I saw some Psychic border on the EX and was really excited for Mew, just to get disappointed for Giratina :[ oh well, at least I got an EX. I also got 1 Bouffalant, 1 Emolga, and 2 Tool Scrapper.

Deck looked like:

Not a bad pool actually, a couple good attackers.

Round 1:
This was rather uneventful. We both started Giratina EX (what's the chance? haha) and I went first. Because I went first, I was able to load mine up first, OHKO his, and the blow through his field.

Round 2:
This girl pulled 2 EX in her packs and then another 2 in her 2 packs at the end :O Anyways, I started Giratina EX to her Terrakion EX and went 2nd. I couldn't even load up my Giratina and that was the end of that. I knew my only chance was to get Gothitelle up and flip 2 heads to KO it but never did.

Round 3:
I started like a god with Emolga. I loaded up a Shedinja and a Giratina, but only needed Giratina to blow through his field.
2-1

I didn't pull anything interesting in my last two packs but made nice trades.

Only 3 rounds for Masters? I got 5 rounds and I'm in Seniors. Why do you rip people off like that in trades?

My TO always only does 3 round for everyone at prereleases, we had enough people for at least 5 rounds, maybe more. He just doesn't like to keep us there that long.

Anyways, every single trade I made there was presented to me, I didn't try to rip them off, I just told them what I wanted and let them go through my binder.

It's not like he forced the people to trade with him. If they were happy with the trade then good for them. They got the cards they need and ESP got the cards he needs. Everyone's happy.

My PR yesterday had 3 rounds and I felt that was too many. It's annoying playing at PRs with EXs because whoever has an EX is guaranteed to do well. You're also so limited because although you may have gotten 2 Garchomps, you didn't pull any Gibles. Drafts are better IMO because you choose what you play with.

Whoever has an EX has to do well? I got 11 with my Mew, and another kid did worse with his Giratina. Another kid did better than me and he had no EXs at all. Statement: false

I went 2-1 in my first draft with 2 EXs and 2-1 in my second draft with an EX. I could list other people who went x-0 or x-1 with their deck because they pulled an EX.

If you play the EX right then you should have no problem winning games, especially with this set.

I have to say pulling an EX does help your odds. My mom, who has never played the game before, managed to go 2-1 all thanks to her Registeel EX pull. They're just so bulky for a Limited meta.
