Ever had one of those days...

The melody of your defeat

You go to a tournament with an experimental deck and think you might pull something. Next thing you know you win only 2 games, your only match win is due to a bye and including those losses are the lowest ranked player in your region and a junior.

That happened to me yesterday. My bad luck stroke was so bad I couldn't believe it. Some examples:

- I only needed to do 20 more damage with Ampharos to win. I had 2 prices left, I had 2 Rare Candies and 2 Feraligatrs in my hand, and guess what was in my prices? Exactly, 2 Totodiles. Lost.
- Overtime was called, first to get a price would win. I played the Gligar start to eliminate Casty starts. What do I get? Mareep. My opponent? Bulbasaur. Poisonpowder, gg.
- I needed either delta Rainbow Energy (4 in deck left) or Boost Energy (2 in deck left) to grab the win since there was no other poke on my opponent's field. I play in 3 turns before he backs up his backfield Holon Lass twice (For 9 cards) and a TV Reporter. No luck, he builds back his backfield and proceeds to win.
- Who the heck decided that Gligar should have Lightning weakness anyway while it is a friggin GROUND type?
- Game 1, I start with Mareep he with Castform + Mentor start. Game 2, I get Gligar + Strength Charm + Fight energy, he starts with Latios Ex. Go figure.

Ever had a tourney go like that?

Everyone goes through a tournament like that. Just show up the next time and try it again. More than likely the second time will be much, much better.

Sadly that sounds like a lot of my Cities.  And States.  And everything else.

;_;

Jordan, your deck only sucks in finals.  You can't talk, well...except for that one at the GC last year or something ;P. I can be wrong, however.

I know what you mean Lou :[

Arcanine out.
