Pokemon: 4
Camerupt EX, is said to be the 2nd useless EX in Primal Clash, just in front of Sharpedo EX. I haven't seen anyone try to build a deck around Camerupt EX, it's always Gardevoir this, and Gardevoir that. Camerupt has the advantage of few very useful supporters, that benefit fire.
The ideal situation is to get Victini out and with a fire energy attached to start with. Turbo Energize is important to power up a 4+ energy attack quickly. So try to attach as many energies to Camerupt, Victini, the 2 Reshirams, and deal on average 100-150 with Camerupt's Explosive Jet, discard 2 or 3 enegies, and use a Blacksmith to get it back quickly (of course i can discard more, and deal more damage if the situation calls for it.) If Victini is not in early, or is prize, Fiery Torches, and Scorched Earth gets energies in the discard pile, so i can use Blacksmith to achieve, what is basically the same effect. Sycamore gets me out of bad hands, Pal Pads, and VS Seeker gets blacksmiths back into play (I would use more VS Seekers, but i have only 1 VS Seeker in my entire collection). Lysandre's Trump Card is a last resort to get important supporters back into play. I use to Reshirams because they also benefit from Blacksmith.
I've built this deck online, and those Reshirams, have saved me, and won the game a couple times, and it's always good to have non-EX Pokemon in a deck, to counter any pokemon that has an ability that can negate all EX damage. I've been able to to knock out a M Charizard EX in one shot by discarding 5 energies from Camerupt, dealing 250, and still have enough energies attched to knock out additional EX (about 180 HP), before needing to use any Blacksmith.
It's still a work in progress, it's far from perfect, but i think it has something going for it. I think i could possibly win a local tournament, if i play my cards right. Pun totally intended. So, what do you guys think?
