Introduction
“EAHHHHHHHHHHHH, EAHHHHHHHHHHHH, EAHHHHHHHHHHHH, EAHHHHHHHHHHHH, EAHHHHHHHHHHHH, EAHHHHHHHHHHHH, EAHHHHHHHHHHHH, EAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.”
“What is that?” I thought to myself rising in my bead. Wait 7 horns followed by one long, DISTRESS SIGNAL! “Mom! Dad! Julie! We need to get to the life boats NOW!”
I rushed to the closet where my clothes were hung up for the next day. I threw them on and grabbed us all our life jackets. I tossed all the jackets to the rest of my family and saw they were dressed.
We all sprinted out the door into the hallway; it was mass confusion. People were rushing out of their rooms where some would run the right way; some would run the wrong way; and then some no way. The mirrors in the hall probably didn’t help the cause at all. I could see myself as I ran down the hall way at full speed
. Babies were crying everywhere, heck adults were crying. I had no idea what was happening but I knew we had to get to the life boat.
We took the staff stairs down to the fourth deck where the boats were. Outside we could clearly see what was happening. There was a humongous storm brewing. Waves were easily making the deck and making it hard to get to the boats.
D-25 was our boat and they were already boarding! This was not one of those row boat life boats; these beauties had engines, rudders, full cover, we knew we would be safe once we were inside. The worker directed us into the boat and to our seats; we were the last ones on this boat. The seats were nothing more than wooden planks with hand holds on the sides, only the best from Royal Carribean.
The worker joined us inside and pulled down the thick clear plastic covering and sealed it shut. There was already 3 other crew members aboard and they started the lowering process. It was at least fifty feet to the dark oceans surface and we descended rapidly. Within seconds we were on the water bouncing from the waves.
“Seal the outside!” one of the crewmates yelled. I could hear the cold hissing sound and the plastic sealed its self air tight.
They must have oxygen tanks on the boat.
We could all see out of the roof the storm raging and the waves that took the beautiful ship to its grave. The waves must have been 100ft tall and we were standing strong.
Then I heard a crewmate say something that stopped my heart cold, “El motor es roto!” which means, “The engine is broken!” Most of the people on the boat understood no spañish so they had no idea what was happening. Out the roof we could all see the other boats heading the opposite direction. We could do nothing but pray. Ahead of us we could see a vast expanse of sea. The waves were pushing us quickly forward with no mercy. The suddenly out of thin air an island appeared!
I knew we shouldn’t have taken a cruse in the Bermuda Triangle.
Sorry for the shortness, they'll be much longer later!
