ex or Lv X?

Just looking for opinions -
And don't tell me "LV X are wayyyy better than ex lyk oh em gee!" as we all know this.
I really want to know everyone's opinion on what they thought was better, the ex days or the new lv x days?
I personally liked the ex days much more. There were so many cool ex-es to choose from, all having their own style. They all looked rather cool and were so superior and much more fun to play with. LV Xs we only get about 3 per set, one per box. There arent many to choose from, so only a few of them are actually viable. It was more fun going to league and seeing tons of different decks with different playstyles back in the ex days, rather than going to league now and just seeing a bunch of GGs and Magmortars :[
 
i agree. it is rather boring having to go to league and seeing the same decks over and over and over and over. FOr this reason I build a new deck that is unexpected and no one would even dare to use. Such as my DP luxray/ UF Ampharos combo
 
Seeing as EX Pokemon cost 2 Prize cards if it is knocked out, I'd say the LV. X ones are better. Sure they take any extra turn to get out, but you don't wan't to give your opponent any kind of advantage.
 
Just like Tyson said, (someone who goes to our league) ex's were better as the game didn't last as long, so you didn't sit there all day in one match like it is happening now.
Ex's were better, easier to pull and easier to get out for playing time.
 
That was another great part about them, since everyone played exes 2 prizes was commonplace, not ridiculous as it is today.
 
Ex's were great back in the day (shame they'll get rotated out at the end of summer), although the cost of two prize cards for your opponent K.O.ing it was risky. Some of them had great attacks, too. I'm all for Tyranitar ex and Dragonite ex from Dragon Frontiers. Those cards were freakin' awesome. XD So, yeah. I agree that ex's were better in their own ways.
 
Exs. I love Crawdaunt ex, Rayquaza d ex, Latios d ex ect, and used to like electrode ex, Zapdos ex, Blatoise ex, Steelix ex and Lugia ex. Sure they cost a whole 2 prizes, but atleast you didn't have to play a 3-2-2 Electrode ex line to get it out >.>
 
I miss exs.... I hate this format =O.

I really miss the old Eeveelutions & Mew ex from LM. Those were the good ol' days =[
 
There were so many creative decks during the ex days, you never knew what you could face. Now, the decks aren't very creative. You know what to expect to face. It takes a lot of the fun out of it.
 
My favorite deck to play was Kingdra ex (DF) and Xatu (DF). Their poke-bodies helped Kingdra ex attack so much better

I had stopped playing around ExHL/ExFR-LG. Back then the decks people ran all had their own personal touches. It was great that every person on a table was running something different.
Nowadays I just see a lot of cookie cutter decks being run by the majority of players. Sure, it's always exciting seeing new Pokemon in card form, and new cards in general are always a blast, but the game was more diverse in the Ex days, and that diversity is (well, was) one of the best reasons to play Pokemon over other Tcg's.

Not all hope is lost though. ^^
