Strategy:

Hey, thanks for taking a look at my deck. It's an original concept. I'll explain the strategy:

The main attackers are Excadrill and Lugia EX.

Excadrill can hit twice a turn and may do 280 damage with a muscle band and the right Eeveelution (for 3 energy!) he can also attach 4 energy to itself including special energy as well. If Excadrill Isn't fit against the opponent's deck for any reason, you can instead attach 4 Fairy/Rainbow Energy with Dredge then Fairy Transfer them to Lugia EX to hit for high numbers. How's that for energy acceleration?

There is a wide variation of trainers to make this strategy hold strong. There's Wally to evolve all of the stage 1 Pokemon. And there's Winona to get Shaymin EX, Eevee and Lugia EX on the bench. Fairy garden is there to switch and to take part of the stadium wars.

Everything else is remotely self explanatory.

This deck is standard format. Including reprints from XY8. If skyla does not get added to standard I will simply replace her with trainer's Mail. All feedback is appreciated!

Just as heads up. Please remember to put translations for any card that is not released yet! Thanks :)

Anyhow, lets look in to this deck!

I really enjoy the concept of this deck as I had one drawn up like this as well.

Excadrill in my opinion is a very underrated card because of it's 100 damage attack (140 with Muscle Band) and the popularity of Vespiquen. Speed is obviously essential for this deck to be viable because of decks like Lugia, M. Rayquaza, Vespiquen, and even Night March.

I do fear though that decks like Seismitoad EX, Bats Variants, Vileplume, and Aegislash Techs are going to make this deck bend very easily if you get started much slower than they do. Here are some cards to consider.

Silent Lab is a nice tech card for this deck. Silent Lab would negate Shaymin-EX, it doesn't really affect this deck hardly at all and could easily be put in to counter Aegislash-EX and other basic abilities like Wobbufett as well.

Winona vs. Bridgett: I do agree Winona does somewhat work with this deck, Bridgett from the up coming BREAKthrough expansion could work much better for this deck. Winona is great for your colorless Pokémon, but Bridgett could get you 3 basic Pokémon or EX Pokémon and place it on your bench, meaning you can get Drilbur earlier on. With this, you can knock your Level Ball line down to 2-3 and have Ultra Ball line 3-4.

Skyla in my opinion is kind of a misplaced card. While I see the reasoning behind it, it could be used for another VS Seeker, supporter like Giovanni's Scheme, or even another Shaymin-EX or Eevee.

Other than that, I feel like this is a rather solid deck. The other thing that bothers me would be the energy line. If you feel like your whiffing your metal energy, you may need to reduce your Fairy Energy count and add another Metal/Rainbow Energy to help boost consistency or possibly add a Professor's Letter to help start you off a bit stronger and not having to rely a s heavily on Exadrill's Drelge attack.

I hope this helps and good luck!

Oops I forgot about Giovanni's Scheme, I've updated my post with a link.

Thanks for your input, here are my thoughts:

I think Fairy Garden has slight priority over Silent Lab. From my experience Silent Lab doesn't do much disturbance with out a stadium lock. Stadiums get replaced so quickly, most of the time Shaymin EX sees play anyway. A turn of free switching on the other hand will be very useful because keeping Energy is important for this kind of deck.

Both Pokemon Chicks sound like good additions to this deck. But Perhaps Pokemon Fan Club is a better option, the option to get two EX Pokemon when you need them, and the fact it places those cards into your hand gives it utility. You can not use Shaymin's Ability with Bridgett, which is also a con.

I see Skyla Isn't needed in this deck. I will likely replace her with another VS Seeker or Giovanni. I do like the possibility to add +80 damage with the second effect of Giovanni's Scheme.

Perhaps I should replace a fairy energy for another Rainbow Energy. I don't want to rely too much on Special Energy though... Because of Aegislash, Enhanced Hammer and other anti Special Energy cards. So instead I will replace a Fairy Energy with a Professor's letter. Sounds good.

I've yet to try some play-testing but I'll definitely try your suggestions out.

Question. How do you keep the opposing side from hitting you with their own attacks? Aromatise only works before the attack, and once Excadrill attacks, you kind of lost that opportunity.

I guess that's something to keep in mind while playing. You decide what the best strategy against your opponent's deck is. You may be lucky and take your opponent out with Eeveelutions and Excadrill alone. You wouldn't have to use Fairy transfer at all. Another time it could be better to use Excadrill to get a Lugia EX ready. If you don't expect Excadrill to last another round, well then It's time to get original...
