Primal Clash has revealed a reprint of Exp. Share. Exp. Share hasn't been in format for around a year. This is the Exp. Share:

Do people think Exp. Share will become a common or staple Pokemon Tool in both this and the upcoming format? Will the Tool become used 'randomly' or do you think certain deck metas will use the Exp. Share more than others?

The main reason I think people won't use EXP Share is because they would rather play things like Muscle Band and Spirit Links. It's a good card with a nice effect. Maybe Aromatisse variants will play it to preserve their Energy on the board. Attach it to Aromatisse or something. I played it in a rogue deck, and it was amazing. I would play it in a similar deck this but I'm already playing Muscle Band and Spirit Link, so I don't think it would help me in too many situations.

Tool Drop can use it in the same manner that they did before it rotated. While Tool Drop is still as much of a fringe deck as it was in the past format, EXP Share is a very beneficial card. With Dimension valley, Trubbish needs only one energy to use Tool Drop, and EXP share will let you keep it in play so you can run drastically low energy counts.

The main issue is that in orde rto use EXP Share effectively, it needs to be played with Tool Retriever, Masquerain, or some other effect that lets you cycle / replace tools. That's part of Tool Drop's central strategy, so it fits well.

Another card that can use it nicely is Gourgeist XY, letting you keep [P] energy in play to Spirit Scream as soon as the previous Gourgeist is KOed, assuming you have another energy to attach. Sadly, this card can't benefit from Dimension Valley, so the best way to achieve this effect is to use Mew-EX with Valley to copy Raticate BCR's Super Fang for a DCE (this was an actual rogue that topped at least one Cities). In this deck you might see EXP Share in a niche role to make basic energy more usable, but DCE is still ideal.

Since it looks like TPCi is trying to bring Stage 2s back to the tables, I think it may actually be run in Stage decks in 1-2 copies, because players may start attaching Energy to their relatively low-HP Basic mons, thus might run it as a back-up plan. Also, as My Little Keldeo said, this pairs up well with Tool Retriever (which may start seeing more play, due to more Spirit Links being released and better Megas coming; not to mention the annoying Head Ringers/Jamming Nets.) It may also be helpful for set-up Pokémon, something else that looks like TPCi is trying to bring back.

I think this could pair up well with Team Magma decks running Claydol/Camerupt, as it opens more options for attackers without Team Magma in their name. You could attach this to your Claydol, and as soon as your Active gets Knocked Out, you get an Energy for any of your Pokémon. This could help power up Primal Groudon (which Team Magma decks are likely to run anyway) faster, thus making it more playable.
