hi everybody I'm new but i made a fake card using the mypokecard.com just for the car and i painted using gimp the image using a picture i found as a reference
Instead of using an online card creator, it'd be best if you make the card from scratch. It makes the card look a lot more realistic. Photoshop is the best program for making fake cards, but if you aren't able to afford it, then Gimp is another option as well.
^ As in, using Gimp to create the card "from scratch." There is a resource thread that provides card blanks. You can properly place the attacks, abilities, and other text/effects with correct fonts. That way, the card would look real.
I do wonder @ that website though, the holo template they use (especially for the lv.X's) are Cascade's blanks with his copyright removed. I do wonder if they ever got his permission for that =/
Granted they aren't accurate nowadays, but they are still pretty nice, just a thought as I looked at that one.
@The others stating GIMP/Photoshop, they be right jcalm. If you check the sticky @ the top of this forum its OP, although not majorly up-to-date anymore, still provides some key info that'll help you out. You'll also find a few GIMP/Photoshop guides to get you going as well
I've used mypokecard. It's not bad for less-serious things, but it is better to use a blank from somewhere and use your own stuff for anything more important. (not that I have a blank yet, i'm still working on getting one) You should work on what the cards look like, (wordwise) and use the official wording.
