Favorite Super Smash Brothers Combatants

My favorite: Ness

While Ness is weak and quite lowon the tier, he's unique and fun to use. Psi Thunder has to be one of the most unique moves to use in the game. He's also from my favorite SNES RPG, Earthbound. Too bad he was made irrelevant by Lucas in Brawl.

Worst: Pit

Pit is not high on the tier list, and he doesn't have a good Knock-Out attack, but if you're playing with items... oh, goodness, he is a NIGHTMARE. Pit is incredibly fast, can spam projectiles, rack up damage really quick, and Recover from pretty much anywhere. It's even worse if Items is set on, because then all he has to do is use a few Side Specials on you until your percentage is around 80 %, then all he has to do is find something like a gooey bomb, Pokeball, or bumber and you're pretty much burnt for life. He's not too good otherwise, though.

RE: Favorite Super Smash Brothers combatants.

I don't Smash competitively, so I don't really know anything about tiers. Much like Pokemon, I just use my favorites. :)

Mewtwo was probably my favorite in the series. I just loved psychically launching enemies around the arena without ever coming into contact with them. His voice was also awesome. I also love Marth. I always choose him over the bigger, more powerful Roy and Ike. That said, Ganondorf is also a favorite for his super-deliberate demolition of anything unfortunate enough to come near him after he powers up his attacks.

This is me, too. In fact, I didn't even know SB had tiers, though I guess I'm not surprised either.

My favourite character to play in Brawl was Ike. I chose to play him because I love the Fire Emblem series and, unlike the other FE reps, I actually enjoyed the games that Ike was in (I don't really care for Marth's and Roy's games nearly as much as all the other games in the series). >_> Ike is slow as hell, but powerful and a lot of fun to play as. I also had fun playing as Pokémon Trainer, though I could never remember all of the moves for all of the Pokémon, so I never did as well playing as him.

Pre-Brawl (Melee and 64; never played the original), I mained as Kirby. I've never even played any of the Kirby games, I just thought Kirby was a cute character and dived in with him. He also has great recovery which is nice because I have a tendency to walk myself off the edge. I mostly only stopped playing as Kirby in Brawl because Ike and Pokémon Trainer interested me a lot.

When the new one comes out, I really want to try playing as Rosalina. I love the Galaxy series, and I've really enjoyed playing Rosalina in Mario Kart Wii and 8. I guess we'll see how that goes, but if all else fails, I have Ike to fall back on. :)

RE: Favorite Super Smash Brothers combatants.

As far back as me being a child playing Super Smash Bros. on N64, my main's been mostly Jigglypuff. She's cute and sweet-looking, and she has excellent aerial mobility with her puffy floats and air normals. I

I haven't seriously touched Brawl yet (yeah, even after all these years! Just played it casually on certain occasions from copies belonging to other people).

I'd really like to try Sonic, because supposedly he's a combo-heavy character, and Lucario, because hey, he -rewards the player for getting hit-. Now that's special.

RE: Favorite Super Smash Brothers combatants.

I've never played the games that Ike was in, but he is one of my favorite characters for Brawl. His attacks do a lot of damage, even though he is really slow. Also the chant "WE LIKE IKE" is too good to not love. Bowser is fun character to use in stock matches. If you can get some damage on the other combatants then his down special and side special (I think those are the right ones, whatever they are that he squashes everyone with) will send them flying. He can guard the edge of the platform with fire breath. Also, if there is one opponent left and he or she has one stock left., Bowser can grab the other player and force them to go off the edge with the side special (once again not absolutely sure this is correct). Then Bowser wins, even if he also had one stock.

The world renowned super mod, Athena, posting opinions on my own thread??
(Geeks out)

But seriously, I like Lucario. He's fun to use, even though his Side and Down Special attacks are pretty bad. Too bad Ivysaur probably won't be coming back for Smash Bros. 4. Stupid Charizard, hogging the spotlight...

RE: Favorite Super Smash Brothers combatants.

After playin some SSB4 today, I gotta say Greninja. My friend dragged me to 2 best buys to do it. I tried Greninja and Megaman at one (3DS and WiiU), and Wii Fit Trainer and Villager at another. So, until the game comes out, it's Greninja all the way.

RE: Favorite Super Smash Brothers combatants.

My favourite character is definitely Charizard. He's my favourite everywhere. Technically it would be Red, but it still counts, right?:p The Pokémon characters are one of the few I recognise, since I don't play many of the other games that the characters appear in. I'm really happy Charizard will be its own character in the new game.

I also love playing with Sonic, because it's so fast. I love being able to move fast and dodge attacks and tend to choose those over the slower stronger ones.

So far I only played it on the Wii at my cousin's house, but I'm planning to get the new game for the 3DS as well. I will probably be playing a lot with Greninja on there too. It's my new favourite Water-type Pokémon. The moves it has look amazing in the previews!

I never knew SSB had tiers either; I have so far only ever played it for fun with my cousins and with friends.

Drohn, if you like fast, I believe you'll like greninja too. I saw him keep up with the world's fastest hedgehog, plus I'm willing to bet he's a character you recognize. Also, another reason I like him is because his Down Taunt (the one with the fountain hands) does some damage as well. That, and he looks so adorable but funny when he slaps onto the screen.

I never played competitively but a few of my favourites to play as on Brawl are Peach, Marth and Toon Link.

I feel like a dweeb every time I choose Peach because, well, Princess Peach. But she can do an awesome butt bump and everything! Bringing back her hover was also awesome. And she pulls frying pans out of nowhere. I dunno, it's just hilarious to beat up Ganondorf and other tanks with a butt bump. Marth and Toon Link are fun to play as too~

On the 64 the only character I ever chose was Kirby because down B was pretty OP.

I can't wait to try out Greninja!

This, and peach's wedding dress color, are the reasons why she's also one of my top 4 favorites. I completely forgot how I would just butt smash everyone and climb up with my royal rump rocket. Wait, that sounds sorta dirty....

Hahahaha! Her butt can destroy everything. EVERYTHING. LIFE AS WE KNOW IT EVEN!
It's always an amazing feeling, destroying people with the power of your butt. :'D

I don't play Smash competitively but I've liked Marth and Peach ever since I played them in Melee and they're still some of my favorites to play as to this day. I liked trying out some of the new guys in Brawl like Pit, Meta Knight, and Sonic and I liked them ok enough but Idk. Marth has usually stayed my overall standby main and I don't see that changing too much. I'm looking forward to trying out some new fighters again in the new Smash like Zero Suit Samus, Mega Man, Little Mac, and Rosalina so I guess I'll see if any of those can try to get a place in my rotation.

dmaster out.

Most of the ones I like to use are the small cute characters like Kirby, Jigglypuff, Pikachu, etc. Mr. Game & Watch is also pretty fun. Like a lot of others here, I'm looking forward to playing Greninja in SSB4.
