Cleffa and Pichu are there to stall/save me/be communication fodder. The main feature of this deck is the Feraligatr Prime - Lanturn Prime - Onix - Interviewer's Questions combo. 'Gatr Prime is primarily there to sit on the bench and supply a constant stream of Water Energys to Lanturn Prime (which is Water type via Underwater Dive), which not only makes Powerful Spark ridiculously awesome for sweeping but with Onix's Energy Healer helps take off all the damage Lanturn Prime had been taking as a front-line soldier. Switch is if Onix or Feraligatr Prime (and their heavy retreat costs) find themselves being pulled out, Fisherman helps me get Water Energys back in case a Feraligatr or Lanturn is KO'd (Onix never gets Energys put on it, it's only there to heal) The remaining trainers are there in an attempt to speed things up.

Main problems I've found with this deck so far is that it's awfully slow. But that's about it. Pichu is of questionable usefull-ness.

I've been trying to come up with a tournament legal kind-of deck but with all the cards I have it's still kind of hard. I have hundreds of cards from HGSS and HS-Unleashed, yet oddly enough I'm missing a ton of Stage 1s and Basics, making it very hard to build a worthwhile deck. But based on what I had, this deck was what I had come up with. I also realize this will die in the new quick-format (is it still quick in BW?) but I mainly play against my friends at school (most of which use theme deck structure)

Onix was changed to where it only heals itself. It no long heals all Pokemon. Sorry to inform you of that. Pokemon made this ruling a while back once the card first games out. So they irratted the card or however you spell it.

2 Cleffa and 2 Pichu is a bit much.
Catcher is out, which makes them more prone to become free prizes.
Also, I hate how Pichu helps out your opponent. Maybe try Stantler instead. Or even Manaphy.
1 Cleffa and 2 Stantler is probably the best way to go.

Ya true dat.
With 18 energy, 3 interviewer's might be a tad much. And 4 Switch is ridiculous.
Slide in for Prof Oak's or some Juniper instead.
Maybe cut down on the Elm's for some Junk Arm to reuse the Communications also.
Also no Collector :/ If you cant afford it theres always Stantler of Dual Ball.

I don't have pretty much any card from HS: Triumphant or even Call of Legends.
Hand refreshing was primarily done by Cleffa, but I guess I can do without, Catcher and all. I'm actually short on Oaks as well, but I'm trying. I did consider Stantler when I was fixing my deck up a bit (I used to have 4 Cleffa) but I figured Pichu would help me set up faster. I'll be trying this out;
-1 Cleffa
-2 Pichu
-2 Switch
-1 Interviewer's Questions
+2 Stantler
+2 Pokémon Collector
+2 Professor Oak's New Theory
EDIT: And it's a shame to hear about Onix. That just makes it random death fodder with heavy retreat cost. I'll see what I can take it out for.

-3 Onix
+2 Pokégear 3.0
+1 Cleffa
Had trouble figuring out what to take the Onix out for really. The heavy retreat cost and now useless PokeBody begged to be let out and maybe put into some other deck if I ever get Steelix Prime.
2 Prizes aren't really too much of a problem, as I plan on setting up a killer Lanturn anyway. Cleffa are good to stick with when you're still trying to set Lanturn and 'Gatr up. They can kind of stall for time. Not really. The Pokégear 3.0s were the last thing that looked remotely helpful- get out my Interviwers and then use those for double the shuffle!... In any case, these cards are pretty much placeholders until I figure out a way to deal with Donphan Prime/Machamp Prime. Lanturn is my heaviest hitter and a weakness to Fighting is unhealthy. Whilst I can Underwater Dive and kill that Donphan, there's probably another Donphan or a Machamp or something else waiting to come and just obliterate my measly 100 hp (after Rainbow Energy-ing) Not that my friends have any of these cards of course, but it's good to prepare, right?
