Hi! I'm Nick. I posted this decklist on another site, but so far haven't gotten any feedback; so, here goes nothing! I'm a big fan of water-types. I already play an Electrode/Samurott/Kyurem deck at league. I decided that I wanted to build a deck using Feraligatr Prime. Kyurem's an option, of course, but is there anything else? I came up with this:
(The evolution families for Pokemon in this list are collapsed; for example, 3-2-3 Feraligatr Prime implies 3 Totodile and 2 Croconaw. Just in case anyone was unclear on that.)
Pokemon
3-2-3 Feraligatr Prime (HGSS)
3-3 Beartic (EP30)
3-3 Lanturn Prime (Unleashed)
2-2 Suicune & Entei LEGEND (Unleashed)
[24 Pokemon (9 Basic)]
Trainers
3 Pokemon Communication
2 Switch
2 Rare Candy
2 PlusPower
2 Junk Arm
[11 Trainer (Total 19 T/S/S)]
Supporters
3 Interviewer's Questions
3 Pokemon Collector
2 Fisherman
[8 Supporter (Total 19 T/S/S)]
Energy
10 {W}
5 {L}
2 Rainbow
[17 Energy]
The strategy is to get out a Feraligatr as soon as possible and start loading up on energy. Thanks to Lanturn's ability and SEL's dual typing, all of the Pokemon in this deck can use Feraligatr's ability, but they don't share any weaknesses.
Actually, Lanturn and SEL both benefit immensely from having Feraligatr; if there's enough energy on the field, Lanturn does massive damage, and SEL uses the ability to keep putting down two water energy per turn to do 100 damage to any benched Pokemon.
Use Collector and Communication to get the Pokemon you want, and Interviewer's gets energies in your hand. Beartic might be good early game because you can disrupt using Sheer Cold. You can attack with Lanturn while loading up energy on SEL, since that energy will be returned to your hand when SEL attacks. Switch is necessary because Feraligatr is catcher fodder, although it is possible to just retreat it in a pinch ({C}{C}{C} is bad, but it could be worse -- see Emboar). Rainbow Energy would allow SEL to use Entei's attack if needed, or function as Lightning if you didn't draw one.
I don't have any personal experience with any of these cards, so I could definitely use some help. Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!
