I think you're a little confused. Blazing Sword/Burning Blade is the game released here as Fire Emblem, and is the prequel to Sword of Seals/The Binding Blade.

I'm kinda late, but I love FE! I played the Sacred Stones, whic I loved. It was awesome. Then I got the DS version, Shadow Dragon? In my opinion, it was lacking. I couldn't connect with the characters as much as in Sacred Stones, which in one of the reasons why I loved it. Shadow Dragon was just.. ehh.

Yesterday (Sunday May 29th) I bought a used copy of Fire Emblem (Blazing Sword) from Gamestop for $15. After out of this game for several years, I'm getting back into the loop.
The plot, the gameplay, the characters, the music...IT'S ALL SO PERFECT

Yeah I really love the original for the GBA. I played it and beat it a couple of months ago and I still really enjoyed playing through it again.
I still haven't gotten the chance to beat Sacred Stones because everytime I pick it up to play, a few weeks later I usually forget about it and don't pick it up again. And when I do play it again I usually just make a new file. It's an endless cycle....

Are there any characters in particular you like to use and train a lot? I always love training Dart to Lv.20 and then using the Ocean Seal on him to make him incredibly powerful.

Let's see if I remember. Oswin was always a definite, but the rest depended on my mood. I've trained most of the characters to level 20 at some point, and I can say that Hector is amazing and Eliwood is garbage. Lyn is in-between.
Pent's good, Florina's amazing, Oswin's amazing, Marcus is decent, Canas is great, Raven would be better were his STR a bit higher...eh. It's been a while. I don't remember them all.
