Iris’s Fighting Spirit has been revealed early from SV9 Journey Together! It is #149/159.
The card will be given out in mid-March as a stamped promo to players who attend Season 3 of Ultra Ball League tournaments in Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
Update: Iono’s Bellibolt ex has also been revealed!

Like Chien-Pao ex, top finishers will receive a Mew ex from 151 with a special “Ultra Ball” League stamp, as well as a Terapagos playmat. If you’re a master set collector, you might want to pick up the Mew.

Special English Set 18th july
ME: There is hope for a Rocket set after all!
What do you mean? It has been confirmed to be in Destined Rivals, combined with Heat Wave Arena, and the Marnie & Steven Battle decks. Unlike the Japanese set, the Team Rocket set will not be a standalone set in English—and why do you think the Rocket set wouldn’t be coming when it’s been confirmed? The special set is based on the Black and White games.

I don't want a team rocket set if they aren't bringing back Dark Pokémon
Team Rocket’s Pokemon are essentially the same as Dark Pokemon? They are the same concept, just that they have a different name—why would such a trivial matter affect such a big thing as a set’s existence?

No they aren't. They're two different things; Pokémon they corrupted and Pokémon they are the trainers of.

I swear sometimes you people act like aestherics and world building don't matter.

Dark Pokémon are the tcg equivalent of Shadow Pokémon and that's important for translating the series to the card game

It's really gotten out of hand, the fact that there are too many secret rare cards. I miss the days when those were actually difficult to pull, and didn't take the spotlight of literally any other card in the set.
I think the pretty cards being relatively easy to pull is nice.

It's a little jarring that there are just so many of em. Xy base set was like 146(?) cards and that was considered huge.

I don't mind them being easy to pull, I miss them being special. Dark Raichu? Special. Shining Pokemon? Special. Reprints in evolutions and Platinum? Special.

Meh, I’ve given up on getting any TCG products due to the scalper mania going on right now. The way it’s going to go away is if TPCi boosts the pull rates for “high-value” cards and mets and exceeds the current demand for years to come, something we all know the current suits managing TPCi’s TCG division won’t do even if their lives depended on it.

What kind of dimension are you from? Secret Illustration Rares have only gotten harder to pull starting with Paradox Rift due to investors and value-based collectors complaining about how their “stock” value went down as more products were opened.

Dark Raichu is kind of a bad example because of its origin as a WOTC-created card (something that Nintendo wasn’t too happy with at the time), the pull rates for Neo-era Shining Pokémon are funky (some people report pulling 2 per box, others have seen 6 in one sealed booster box), the reprints in Platinum sets were somewhat easy to pull if you bought boxes, and the reprints in Evolutions are laughable considering that Evolutions was labeled as a 20th Anniversary set in Japan.

If they weren't okay with it, why was it illustrated by Mitsuhiro Arita? Seems like they'd have to cooperate to make that happen.

Still wish Wizards had released Vending cards instead of Base Set 2.

Anyway my point is getting Imakuni?'s Doduo in Evolutions was so much more exciting than getting some ex Pokemon that looks boring

I did some more research on the topic and my assumptions on the situation was slightly flawed, WoTC did receive permission in regards to making Dark Raichu but it came at the cost of Team Rocket’s release being delayed by three months. The bit about Nintendo not wanting to make their own cards was born from Nintendo wanted a custodian for the international scene while WoTC felt that it was their right to be a creator.

I honestly felt that cards like Imakuni?'s Doduo were more of a dud for Evolutions, I would’ve rather seen them as promos in a product rather than being an in-set card.

If you didn't like Imakuni?'s Doduo in the set you definitely didn't go to a prerelease. That shit was cash. Haven't had that much fun since Unhinged

I did and the crowd I was playing alongside clearly didn’t share the same vibe, just went “eh, into the binder it goes” and that was it.
