Yeah, I had the privilege to go to my local card shop and participate in the Prerelease. Got the Altarias, and was ready to go...my Mom entered with me to get extra cards, and I know she gets lucky with her pulls =P
I can't remember everything I pulled, but some things of note were Altaria non-promo (Traded away after), Dark Trance Hydreigon, Reverse Tool Scrapper (Traded away after), and 2 of the Garchomp Blend Energies. I ran a deck that looked something like this:
2-1 Ambipom
1-1 Altaria
2-1 Gabite (Non-Dragon Call)
2-1 Manetric
2-2 Bibarel
1 Tool Scrapper
2 Blend Energies
and the rest energies.
My mom got a better pull than I did. She managed to get Registeel EX (!!!), 2 Bouffalant, a Large Cloak, and not much of other stuff. She based her deck around the Regi and the Bouffalant.
Round 1:
Me: My Gible vs. a really nice girl's Wurmple. I managed to evolve into Gabite early and start shredding fast, but I got poisoned near the start. I managed to knock out the Wurmple, but the Hoppip on her bench came and Flailed Around to do just enough for Poison to knock me out and bench me. 0-1 We played another game afterwards, and managed to win a close game thanks to Gabite.
Mom: She failed to get a good start, and the person she faced had a Wailord out pretty fast. My mom got Registeel out eventually, but was too late to take down the behemoth. 0-1
Round 2:
Me: A Bye. I instead went to watch my mom play. 1-1
Mom: She starts Registeel vs. the opponent's Swablu. Registeel set up pretty quickly despite the Singing attempts of Swablu, but the game was over after 2 Triple Lasers knocking everything out on the bench. 1-1
Round 3:
Me: I faced a really nice person, but I ended up sweeping with Bibarel. 2-1
Mom: She started Registeel again, and got Triple Laser/Protect Charge set up absurdly fast. She won without a hitch. 2-1
Conclusion: I made a few side trades before and after the event (I believe it was my RH Eviolite/RH Ultra Ball/RH Trainer-that-escapes-my-mind/Altaria (Non-Promo)/RH Tool Scrapper/Tool Scrapper and probably some other stuff I can't even remember for 4x Dark Patch/1x Rare Candy/3x Emolga/1x Eviolite/2x Holo Empoleon/probably other stuff). I also managed to buy me a FA Terrakion and Dragon Selection Rayquaza/Azew (I like Japanese cards). I had a lot of fun, and can't wait till I have the materials and freedom needed to actually regularly league at this shop, it was fun.
Oh, and I will be opening a Booster Box as soon as I can get my hands on one =P
