Been into collecting off and on for a while, went to battle for my first time at the Triumphant prerelease and decided hey, the pokemon TCG is somehow even better if your battling too, so in my free time I've put together a deck to take to my local league to battle. I know there are a few holes (probably several) in this deck, the main concern I have is knowing that it is legal. I will always play to win, but I want to have a deck that's fun for me and I will worry about building a few that are more competitive as time goes on. From what I gather my local league generally does unlimited, though I want to make sure my deck is legal for modified play too just in case.

Pokemon:
3-2 Electivire FB
3-2-1/1 Zubat/Golbat/Crobat and Crobat Prime
2-Rotom (Undaunted)
Wash Rotom
Fan Rotom
Raikou and Suicune Legend
2-Gengar GL

Pokemon: 20

2-Sunyshore City Gym
3-Bebe's Search
2-Interviewer's Questions
2-Rare Candy
2-Twins
1-Junk Arm
1-Charon's Choice
1-Time Space Distortion

Total: 14

Energy:
5-Psychic Energy
5-Water Energy
12-Electric Energy
4-SP Energy

Total: 26!

Total Cards: 60

Probably too many energy, and I think it's a little sketchy having 4 kinds of energy in there, but I threw this deck together with some random cards and the purpose of having fun with it. My main concern is wondering if this deck is legal in a modified tournament?

My next challange after this will be to build a new deck that is a little more competitive and that is also fun, but I don't even know what pokemon I want to use yet! I'm looking forward to my first time outside of prerelease battling and will hopefully get some good ideas there!

Time-Space distortion is not legal, but I think that's it.
Does this deck have a strategy? That's the largest problem new players have. Every deck NEEDS a specific strategy to win, whatever way you get there. I don't see any synergy between these cards, and there's not really something you're trying to get set up; it seems you threw a few lines together and added energy and T/S/S...
Decks tend to have ~14 energy (although this really depends on the deck, some have high energy, some even are built around having none), ~26 T/S/S (once again, this changes a lot), and ~20 Pokémon (most decks do have about this many except for a few exceptions).
Look on http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Deck_archetype_(TCG) for some examples of common archetypes.

First off some thing to make it easier to read your post:
number of card before EVERY card name.
Because you just said the name of fan-and washrotom I assume you mean that you are using one of each. Same thing with Raikou & suicune (which you could write as RSL if you want to) I assume you play 1-1 of the parts, but numbers are always nice. The Crobat line would be written 3-2-1/1 Crobat/Crobat Prime (or in a similar way), everyone knows the smaller evolutions of Crobat without you saying. Thats just to make it easier and makes it look clean :)

The thing is.... You play both Electivire and RSL to do BIG damage but need some energy, but you play crobat prime at the same time who needs 1 enegy and does poison...
Don't work together in my eyes. Electivire and RSL is meant to onehitko and that leaves crobat nothing to work with.
As Scizorliscious said you need a dedicated tactic. It's not enough to just put together a deck with good pokémons, they have to have some kind of connection to work in a match. Otherwise you will be crushed >.<
So, check some already built decks to get a hang of deck building and just leave this one, just begin again from the beginning.

Thanks guys :)

This deck was just something I put together with quickly for fun. When battling with it I saw the true power of well formed decks (not to mention more experienced opponents) and saw just how the synergy of specific combos can make a deck so much more powerful.

Scizor-The mention of a specific stratagy has been in my head since I first read your post (a couple of days ago) and is something that I definatly overlooked here, but have been having a ton of fun thinking about for my next deck. I've spent a fair amount of time recently checking out different cards in all the legal sets to see just how useful some of the cards out there are for setting yourself up, regardless of what kind of deck you have.

Morot-Thanks for the tips on posting, and pointing out Crobat (specifically) as being out of place. You guys have put some different ideas in my head, not to mention helped enforce the importance of a deck being able to work together.
