So went to my first tournament the other day. I've collected the cards for brief periods over the years, stopped after Ex Emerald but now I've gotten back into it. I played in the Masters division (there were only two divs due to the number of people, around 14)
In my first six boosters I pulled quite a few decent cards. Not including what I list in my deck below, I also pulled a Thundurus (Reverse), and a Zoroark. I pulled a number of decent rares too, both Leavannys, a Sawsbuck, a reverse Gothitelle (Non-Ability), and a Klinklang. I got very lucky with my cards, with enough guys to make a pretty decent PR deck.

1 Beartic (Sheer Cold)

2 Basculin (1 of each)

11 Grass Energy
9 Water Energy (or possibly the other way round)
I ended up winning, going 4 and 0. First match I won 2-0, second match I almost lost, my opponent had two Excadrills, but I came back to win 2-1. Third match I won 2-1 again, my opponent had a Tornadus which made things difficult. In my final match I played a guy with basically the same deck as me (grass and water, 3 Cheren, Beartic), funnily enough, and I won 2-1. He won the first game, I won the second (had 5 energies on my Audino, and to win the game I needed to flip 3/5 heads, which I managed), and in the third our Beartics had a showdown, with me coming out the eventual winner due to him making a mistake which meant he couldn't retreat (we each retreated two or three times). There was no prize, but it was a fantastic experience, very enjoyable.
In the last two packs I got the end I pulled a Braviary, which was cool. I then bought one more pack and pulled another Zoroark.
So all in all, a great day for me!
