  • 3 Ultra Ball (search)
  • 3 Nest Ball (search)
  • 2 Po Town (beatdown)
  • 1 Heat Factory (draw)
Energy (14):
  • 14 Fire Energy

STRATEGY:

The main idea is to start with either Jirachi or Eevee. Search for needed trainer cards such as Flint and evolve the active Eevee into Flareon GX. Bench some additional Eevee and start to accelerate from the hand Flareon GX. Victini Prism Star is used as an alternate attacker able to recycle discarded energies.

Can you explain to me the purpose of Po Town in this deck? I find it hard to understand why you would want to knock yourself down to 180 HP, which is a really easy number to hit, especially with a Vaporeon/Glaceon GX deck doing ok in Japanese tournaments already. I recognize it gets most GXs that aren't Wishiwashi or some Rare-Candied Stage 2 like Newgaleo into KO range, but it just seems a bit odd, especially when PR luraintis does a similar boosting effect. Also, you could play the Lost Thunder (SM7a) Shuckle to get an earlier charge of Victini and Flareon's GX attack, as well as more useful assist heaters out of Moltres, perhaps in lieu of the aforementioned Po Town.

Hi John InCENAroar,

Thanks for the review. Po Town has been chosen as a counter stadium since it hurts other stage one and stage two decks that do not evolve from Eevee with energy evolution. Since you intend to use energy evolution to get Flareon GX out it should not hurt the own deck that much. To tell the truth I am not sold on this list. The main issue is that it is hard to stream ohkos with Flareon GX. The Magcargo line offers a means to bypass this limitation but Magcargo does not benefit much from Flareon GX and tends to be more consistent on its own.
