I think the reason why Terastal forms work so much better on Eevee's because his/her evolutions are so diverse in color, setting, and genre, that you can really overplay each color scheme just like how gems and jewels are typically sorted in our minds. Like when you see Vaporeon, you're not only thinking blue and water, now you're thinking Topaz, Sapphire, Lapis, Benitoite. And when you see Leafeon, you see trees, nature, Jade and Emeralds. This combination was a match made in the clouds.

I understand the vague backgrounds frutsrate some of the fans and to a point I agree but theres background to backgrounds. This one is such a beautiful piece through and through (I like it more than the VMAX but less than the V)

I don’t really like it dislike the cards, I just think the tera-gimmick is so absurde (even in the games) that I have trouble to connect to it. It limits these cards obviously if you compare it to regular cards. They will look nice on the end, especially as a group - but nothing to write books about.

They havent got full arts in the set, so they had to make the SARs looks somewhere between a full art and SAR
That’s not the reason. I don’t even get why people are so mad about missing FAs/ARs when it is just not the point of the set. It’s a special set - it gives the set the liberty to stray away from other SV set blue prints and it does. It’s whole point is to have fan favorites and playable class available in the highest tiers of rarity.

What is replacing the AR rarity?

They look the way they do because in addition to the silly hat, all the Pokemon featured with Tera have a crystalised effect to them. Some are less obvious than others but sadly yeah, it's an inherent feature. It's what ultimately stained the entire illustration rare line for Tera SV for me; but, that is okay for a couple of reasons. Aside from the Shiny Charizard, most of the Pokemon with Tera features already have plenty of great artwork on older cards that better represent the Pokemon; and, it means that I could save money on some sets.

Hmm I do share the same sentiment for the weird glowing red and the clouds of VMAX tho

I'm not sure why, but I think this is my favoruite of them.

I agree that some SARs we had before look much better than all of them, but it's still all beautiful cards which I would like to have. Just none of them like a card I absolutely love like for example the Aerodactyl V or Beedrill V, Great Tusk ex, Leafon Vstar and a few more.
I hope some of the other SARs will be as incredible as those.
