So this thread is not simply full of acknowledging his loss - please comment on the Nintendo product that has brought you the most joy. Whether it be a console or a game. - SR

Well technically Gamefreak made Pokémon so maybe we would but we can never know.

Anyway Super Smash Bros. Brawl has probably brought me the most joy. I had a lot of fun with that game and I had most of my friends and family members who played it type their name in. It's kind of Nostalgic since there are even a few people I may never see again typed in there. Despite Super Smash Bros. Brawl probably bringing the most joy I'd say my favorite is Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. It's fun, funny, good looking, and just amazing all around. If you mean consoles it would probably be the Wii since not only did I play a whole bunch of Wii games on it but I also used it to replay GameCube games like Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Of course that doesn't have too much to do with Hiroshi since he didn't make those games and he didn't originally want the Wii to be a new console but he did make Nintendo into a video game company.

Actually we still probably wouldn't have pokemon simply because without nintendo making games gamefreak couldn't ever get the funds for pokemon thus us not getting it. Besides Tajiri stated he got the idea by watching two kids play with a link cable on a gameboy and him wanting to give kids the joy of collecting and increase social skills (basically) in kids. Everything else in your post also couldn't be made without Yamauchi.

The nintendo 64 and gameboy man. My earliest memories are of me playing on those, mostly tony hawk pro skater and blue version.
Today nintendo doesn't get as much respect as it should it seems for a video game company. People have more of an obsession with GTA5 and call of duty. But giving credit where credit is due, nintendo has definitely shaped the industry and has always made some of the best games.

Without him most people on this planet wouldn't have gotten into gaming. He completely changed the gaming industry and along with Shigeru he gave us some very memorable titles to play, Super Mario, Zelda etc.

Rest in peace <3
