Ruling FOSSIL EVOLUTION Q.

Dome (& Helix) Fossil let you evolve them straight away when you attach an energy card as its their poke-body, so can evolve them again? e.g. dome fossil --> (using poke-body) kabuto --> Kabutops

No.

The Pokebody states "...This counts as evolving Dome Fossil...".

As you know you can only evolve a Pokemon once per turn, and seeing as this counts as evolving you would not be able to perform such a move.

But it uses poke-body to evolve into kabuto.

Just like GE butterfree u can use caterpie's poke-power flip heads, evolve into metapod then evolve into butterfree by hand or flip another heads.

So the statment is yes u can.

no that is not entirely correct.

If you use a power/body/attack/trainer to evolve, you cannot then NORMALLY evolve. However you can NORMALLY evolve first, then use a power/body/attack/trainer to evolve again.

You can use caterpie to evolve into metapod via pupate, and then use metapods power to evolve into butterfree, but in the same turn, you cannot pupate then normal evolve

You honestly do not know what you are talking about.

The text on a card effect or anything like that ignores the rules of the game, yes. But if it says, "This counts as evolving this Pokemon." it means that it counts as your evolution per turn. You cannot evolve it again unless it it through the effect of another card. Just because a card is able to break the rules, it doesnt mean that the player can. It says that it is using the evolution per turn, because its telling you that you CANNOT evolve this pokemon again the normal way. In the case of Butterfree, it is evolving twice through Powers, and because Powers are on a card, they ignore the normal rules of the game. But again, it says: "This counts as evolving this Pokemon." and that means that you cannot evolve it from your hand, but if you use a Power or something else like it, you can.

Since the card states "This counts as evolving Dome Fossil", and, as you know, you can only evolve the same Pokemon once per turn. So, no. You cannot do Dome Fossil---> Kabuto---> Kabutops in the same turn.
