DPPt/HGSS Fossils' rarity in Platinum

Hi. I was wondering if there is any difference in the rarity of the fossils we can find after nat. dex in Platinum (namely Dome, Helix, Old Amber, Claw and Root).
I'm asking cuz although there isn't any site that mentions that, I've only found the same ones over and over. Specifically, I've already found 3 Old Ambers, 3 Root fossils and 2 Dome Fossils, but it seems I can't any Helix or Claw fossil...
So that's why I was thinking if there's a difference in the chance of finding these fossils kinda like the way you find the Armor & Skull fossils (skull if it's odd, armor if it's even)...

If memory serves, the Helix, Dome, Claw, and Root fossils are affected by ID numbers, just like the Skull and Armor fossils, as you suspected. I'm in doubt of this, though, and so I'll get back to you if I find otherwise.

Then again, it could just be different rarities, as you mentioned, with you happening to get some fossils over the others.

i know...people are unhelpful lol :p. if your ID # is even you can get skull, root, and dome if its odd its the other 3. i remember seeing it somwhere but i cant remember. i think serebii.

i know that is right. i tried getting a skill fossil and my cousin's id ended in 3 and i got all 3 of the fossils i mentioned well...the ones i didnt mention. it sucked.

So, after I made my last post, I went to the Underground a bit and finally found 1 Claw Fossil and 1 Helix Fossil (almost like one after the other), but I also found another root fossil and another old amber... So, I don't know if it's just a coincidence or if the ID actually influences the chance of finding those fossils...

i guess not lol...i know i never got a skull fossil after 3 hours of digging lol. i only got like 8 armor fossils....

In Pearl you can only get Armor Fossils Pre-E4. In Diamond you can only get Skull Fossils Pre-E4. In Platinum you get both Skull and Armor Pre-E4. I'm not entirely sure on Old Amber Pre-E4. After you beat the game on any of them, you can find all of the fossils on all the games.

catutie & Hatman: jeez... you guys know even less than me... I'm talking about the fossils that can be found in Platinum after E4...

Diamond - Skull fossil (before E4) + [Old Amber, Helix Fossil and Claw Fossil (more common), Dome Fossil and Root Fossil (less common)] (after E4)

Pearl - Armor Fossil (before E4) + [Old Amber, Dome Fossil and Root Fossil (more common), Helix Fossil and Claw Fossil (less common)] (after E4)

Platinum - [Skull Fossil (if ID is odd) OR Armor Fossil (If ID is even)] (before E4) + [Old Amber, Helix Fossil, Claw Fossil, Dome Fossil, Root Fossil] (after E4)

Now, what I suspect is, since in my Platinum I got Shieldon (Armor Fossil - my ID is even), and I've found more Root and Dome Fossils than Helix and Claw Fossils in the underground [Note that root and dome fossils are more common in Pearl - the same game where you can only find Shieldon], I guess the Trainer ID influences the rarity of finding the after E4-fossils (except Old Amber).
In other words, I believe that if the Trainer ID is odd you'll find Claw and Helix fossils easier than Dome and Root fossils and if the Trainer ID is even, the opposite will happen.
But, a person will never be able to dig BOTH the Skull and Armor fossils with the same Trainer ID (in PLATINUM, obviously).

So, is everything understood?
