I thought this would interest the community.

I wonder if posting here and facebook would be good enough for them. I'm not a part of any other "blogs"

That sounds pretty interesting.
I think it will probably end up going to people who have popular and professional blogs. But I have no idea.

Wow... trust Japan to be the one coming up with bizarre ideas. 10,000 bloggers. This is really going to require a lot of work on the tourism agency's side to judge whether those bloggers are influential enough in the first place eh?

What NN said, you really have to hand it to the Japan in terms of their innovative solutions.

I agree 100%. ^^^^^ I think that would be a lot of fun! My dad has a blog on something big, I don't remember. Wow! For me that would be like going to JPN Pokemon card heaven!!! XD

While brilliant an idea, it could potentially be damaging to the travel industry as well. Many factors should be considered when looking at that news post, one big one being the fact that even with funding, the airline industry will lose money on most of the deal. A lot of the profit reaped from passengers is from the ticket price, wherein the check-bag prices is to make ends meet.

However, if they get SUFFICIENT funding, that would be great!

Going to Japan is my lifelong dream, but I doubt I'll be allowed to go anyways, even with free tickets. Radiation is just not worth it.

Either your trollin' or your just misinformed. There's plenty of places to go when your in country that aren't going to strip you with radiation.

Going someplace near radiation can still make you sick. I'm not too worried about it, but my parents might, and obviously I can't go unless they allow me :p

This. It sounds great, but I don't know if it's worth it. I have, however, considered going for a while. Hmm...
Imagine half of PokéBeach lodging in one hotel. That would be so great.
