I've been thinking about what I'm going to do with this post-BREAKThrough, especially with things like Parallel City coming in that will absolutely wreck the deck. Previously I had proxy Raichus in here, so I had to take those out when I played and run some other stuff in place of it (and in place of things that were useless without Raichu like Sky Field and Pikachus) and it actually worked pretty well so I'm going to straight up remove the Sky Field element and build off of the DCE Acceleration. As the rest of the deck is built around DCEs for speed and Metal Links-ing benched Pokémon to build them up, I decided a good main attacker to replace Raichu was Psychic Infinity Mega Mewtwo EX (BRT) and for the unevolved form, Photon Wave Mewtwo EX (BRT) as then I don't need to run multiple kinds of Energy and both forms are DCE-compatible.

Pokémon: 12
  • 3 Mewtwo-EX (BRT 61, Photon Wave)
  • 2 M Mewtwo-EX (BRT 64, Psychic Infinity)
  • 2 Lugia-EX
  • 1 Hoopa-EX
  • 2 Wobbuffet (PHF)
  • 1 Shaymin-EX (ROS)
  • 1 Cresselia (BRT)
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 38
  • 4 Ultra Ball
  • 4 Professor Sycamore
  • 3 Dimension Valley
  • 2 Switch
  • 3 VS Seeker
  • 2 Shauna
  • 4 Trainer's Mail
  • 2 Enhanced Hammer
  • 2 Lysandre
  • 2 Mewtwo Spirit Link
  • 4 Judge
  • 1 AZ
  • 1 Skyla
  • 1 Super Rod
  • 1 Town Map
  • 1 Brigette (BRT)
  • 1 Battle Compressor
Energy: 10
  • 4 Psychic Energy
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
  • 2 Mystery Energy
Strategy:
Mewtwo is the primary attacker, however in the back we have Lugia as a secondary attacker in-case Mewtwo is pitted against a stronger Psychic-type (ie Gengar EX, which isn't weak to Psychic because it's Psychic from Ghost-type) and also Wobbuffet as a backup for other situations; I can also free retreat on to it if Mewtwo or Lugia has Mystery Energy to finish off enemies with damage already. Dimension Valley in play as much as possible.

So Mega Mewtwo with Psychic Infinity is an amazing card. Dealing 30 time the number of energy between both active Pokémon can do some serious damage, with just a DCE it's already hitting for 70 damage! Still, I feel a few changes could be made to help this deck a bit better.

Reserved Ticket is kind of a gamble in my opinion and is not worth playing in this deck. Decks that run more Unown in my opinion will benefit more from this card because of Judge coming back and if you use your supporter or are forced to shuffle, your out of luck.

Silent Lab in my opinion isn't needed and you should be focusing more on Dimension Valley to keep Mewtwo's cost down as well.

I like Dialga EX so much, it's a solid attacker and is very useful against EX Pokémon. Another good tech would be Aegislash EX if you're looking for more denial in terms of all around attackers as it blocks attacks if the user has any special energy attached.

Shauna is a good card in all honesty, but I think Judge will be more of a staple than Shauna as your forcing your opponent down to four cards as well and is always a good disruption card to play.

Here's some cards to take out in my opinion:

- 3 Reserved Ticket
- 2 Professor Birch's Observations
- 2 Silent Lab
-3 Shuana
- 1 Sacred Ash
- 1 Skyla
And Add this:

+ 3 Professor Sycamore
+ 3 Judge
+ 2 Giovanni's Scheme
+ 1 Dimension Valley
+ 1 Trainers' Mail
+ 1 Super Rod
+ 1 Bridgette
+ 1 Battle Compressor

Giovanni's Scheme works perfectly for this deck as it provides extra damage and draw support if need be to Mewtwo EX and other Pokémon if need be for free. Sacred Ash is good, but I feel like Super Rod could be better in my opinion. It gives you the option to put Pokémon and energy back in to the deck. Bridgett is also good early game as it can add more Pokémon to the bench early game. The only questionable card I see is Skyla, I feel like you don't need this card but I can see the use of this card early game to get cards like Battle Compressor.

I hope this helps! Good luck and have fun!

Thank you for the input. In a previous iteration of this I was running Aegislash EX alongside Dialga EX but I felt it was spread far too thin and included too many different lines of Pokémon for me to focus on (I also found just having Enhanced Hammers to be enough denial in terms of Special Energies). One thing I'd perhaps find myself doing with your suggestions is running 2 Sycamore and 1 Shauna so that if need be I can grab that in the right situation late-game (such as if they have a very small hand already) for that extra card, or if I know they have a bad hand (as well my play-style isn't very befitted to Sycamore as I mill very quickly with it as opposed to Shauna).

Perhaps as opposed to one of the slots like Brigette or the additional Trainer's Mail I'd run Cresselia BTH (ideally the Trainer's Mail as then I can Brigette for 2 Bronzors and the Cresselia), as well as maybe bringing the Dialga EX count up to 2 to avoid it being prized.

I'm planning to construct either this or a M Mewtwo Y / M Gengar as my main deck post-XY8 so I'll feedback after either being able to test it or when it's all legal in tournaments.
