Ruling Gallade V.S?

120-70=50 then 70x2?

And if that didn't clear it up enough for you... Putting Damage Counters is not doing damage. It is an effect of an attack. Weakness and Resistance don't count when only putting damage counter. Strength Charm or Plus Power or anything that adds damage does not apply either.

You would be applying damage counters. NOT damage.

Cards like Pluspower and Strength Charm have no influence on damage counters.

Weakness and Resistance are *NOT* applied when applying damage counters.
