These two pair together so nicely, esp. with Garchomp's zero retreat cost. And Gallade's Premonition is great for use with Octillery. I've won 5 tournaments this week with this deck.

  • 2 Gible 68/122
  • 2 Garchomp 70/122
  • 1 Machop 44/111
  • 1 Machamp 46/111
  • 2 Ralts 59/135
  • 2 Gallade 84/162
  • 2 Remoraid 31/162
  • 2 Octillery 33/162
Support:
  • 3 Level Ball
  • 2 Professor's Letter
  • 4 Puzzle of Time
  • 4 Rare Candy
  • 1 Scramble Switch
  • 1 Super Rod
  • 1 Superior Energy Retrieval
  • 1 Target Whistle
  • 4 VS Seekers
  • 1 Brigette
  • 4 Korrina
  • 1 Lysandre
  • 2 Professor Birch
  • 4 Skyla
  • 1 Fighting Stadium
  • 1 Balloon Burst
  • 1 Focus Sash
Energy:
  • 4 Strong Energy
  • 6 Fighting Energy
Any thoughts, suggestions, improvements would be greatly appreciated.

Congrats on your tournament wins.

I do observe 2 major issues: should your opponent Item-lock (3 different ways) you early game, your setup may not happen at all or "late" to be really effective. Secondly, your primary Pokemon lines are quite "thin;" so, should your Basic Pokemon be prized, your setup can again be slow or not take place at all.

I'd suggest incorporating more "focus" into the deck. For example, I ran a 4-2-4 Garchomp deck at a State tournament and took 13th place out of 128 players (Masters), missing the Top 8 by 1 misplay in the last round of Swiss. Another thought, do you really need a 1-0-1 Machamp line when you could play 2 Regirock EX that will also provide damage output boost and much easier to get into play?

I hope you find these comments helpful.

Thanks for the suggestions Tux. Yes, I'm completely aware of the item lock possibility. I run a Trevenant Gengar deck sometimes as well. Every deck has a weakness to something, the item lock weakness is what I've chosen.
Regirock EX is a great suggestion but they take up bench room and I'm kind of going through a non EX phase right now.
