ive been in debate over the following rules, after reding the rules i have come to undertsand that -

* you cannot play supporter cards if you go first, but you can play trainers, stadiaums and tool cards, such as rare candy for a turn 1 bannet. If you go second you can play your supporter card for the turn.

* If you go first you draw a card, just like every other turn, similary you can attack if you go first, as long as you have the required energy cost

* If your active pokemon has no energy attached to it you can retreat wothout discarding the required cost. If you pokemon has got energy, but cannot pay the retreat cost then you cannot retreat manualy.

So what im asking is where im right, and where im wronge. Thanks in advance ~ blinky

Wrong. It used to be like that, before DP. But now they changed it so that you can play no trainer cards on your first turn.

* If you go first you draw a card, just like every other turn, similary you can attack if you go first, as long as you have the required energy cost
This is correct

* If your active pokemon has no energy attached to it you can retreat wothout discarding the required cost. If you pokemon has got energy, but cannot pay the retreat cost then you cannot retreat manualy.
This is worded a bit wierd, and I don't really understand what your trying to convey. I'll just explain how retreating works. Only the active pokemon can retreat. You must beable to pay for the energy cost. Also, you must use Energy Cards, meaning that if you have an active Scramble Energy on your active pokemon that needs three energy to retreat, you will need to use 2 more energy cards to retreat, because you use Energy Cards, not energy (scramble energy provides 3 energies, but counts as 1 energy card).

So what im asking is where im right, and where im wronge. Thanks in advance ~ blinky

abaxter94 is right about the 1st 2 points. 3rd point: you must have the required energy (not energy cards) attached to retreat and you can only retreat your active pokemon. You cannot retreat more than once per turn. You can however use as many switches/warp points as you want per turn and you can reatreat and use switch/warp poitn on the same turn. You may use a pokepower to switch your active pokemon and still retreat and/or switch/warp point. If a card has no * signs under the words "retreat cost" you need no energy to retreat that pokemon.

The player taking the first turn of the game cannot play Trainers, Supporters, or Stadiums on that turn. (This is the current, DP-era rule.) The player going second has no restrictions on his turn actions.

Yes. The player going first now draws a card (again, this is the current, DP-era rule).

Of course.

If you don't have the energy, you can't retreat. You must be able to pay the retreat cost. The payment is mandatory.

Note that cards and Poke-Powers that tell you to switch are not considered retreating -- these simply switch Pokemon without removing any energy from them.

Also, if the Pokemon's retreat cost is zero, you can always retreat it (since you can always pay zero).
