XY Gamestop Diancie Code Confusion

Just wondering if anyone else is running into this. Got the code card from Gamestop. Was going to put it in yesterday yet the system was down for maintainence. Now I try to do it after that is supposed to be long over with and it is giving an error saying I need a new version of the software to use online stuff. Nintendo site gives the error to be for Mario Kart 7 yet I'm in Pokemon X. Anyone else getting this? Heard anything about it or how to fix it? Have not seen a message about an update to X and Y and the Eshop doesn't have anything and no system update available. Anyone?
 
There's a patch for X in the eshop, just search it and then scroll some until you find an update version 1.3 or something like that.
 
Just got it again. It did not write properly the first time I apparently got it as I supposedly had that version on the game. Thanks for the info. Hopefully if anyone else is having the problem, they'll see this and know how to fix it. Now I have my Diancie and can have fun with it. *waves*
