Absolute clown behavior. I can almost guarantee you I own and collect more Pokemon stuff than anyone you know (although knowing the target audience of this site in particular, I suppose I could be wrong here) and I own a grand total of two graded cards. ...Neither of which were graded by PSA. CGC is who should be considered the leader of this niche, and a niche is all that graded cards will ever be. Catering to the 1% who actually collect this stuff will get them nowhere fast.

Whew boy, time for GameStop to flop again. First off, getting cards graded will likely be much more expensive than what GameStop will even offer you for the cards you went through the trouble to get graded. Second, I can imagine just like any other card shop, the majority of those graded cards won't come off the shelf and will sit there collecting dust like Funko Pops.

If anyone's been keeping track, GameStop hasn't exactly had a good track record of keeping to a formula for too long, so as long as what I stated happens, I'll give it a year or so before they drop this idea altogether. Also, please don't actually sell your graded cards to GameStop for a fraction of the price when you can literally get almost 100% profits from selling it on Ebay.
 
This news has been in the works for months.
We can reveal that starting next week, select GameStop stores in the U.S. will begin buying graded trading cards from customers, including Pokemon! The company will sell the graded cards on GameStop.com. Eventually, the program will expand to all locations.
As with their game trade-ins, customers will be able to sell their graded Pokemon cards to GameStop for cash or store credit. It’s currently unclear how GameStop will determine the value of the cards.
One store manager we spoke to, who worked with GameStop to test this program, stated, “GameStop’s leaders believe this is the obvious next step for the company. Physical media is waning, especially for video games. It was time for the company to branch out to trading cards. They are the future.”
GameStop will initially accept PSA 8 cards... I wonder how they will determine the value of the cards and what approach they will choose to evaluate them. But I don't think I will be interested in this. Of course, I don't collect them anymore, I just keep them, now I have other interests in games. I started reading information about casinos on https://pl.bestcasinos-pl.com/kasyno/play-bison/ and I got a kick out of it. But I haven't forgotten about Pokemon. I continue to find games on Steam.
